I really enjoy using Microsoft OneNote to keep track of things that are important to me on a daily basis, both for personal and professional purposes. It's also a great way to keep track of study notes for topics that I'm interested in, even if I don't need to access the information from a website.

Pros

I like that I can copy and paste from websites and it can keep the same format as the website most of the time. It is around 95% accurate in my experience in keeping the same format.

Cons

The search feature does help and alphabetizing the page names does help. It seems alphabetizing works on the desktop but not mobile.

OneNote is a great app that I've used for taking notes at university, and continued to use for creating school-wide documentation and teaching and learning materials. It has more benefits than minor challenges.

Pros

OneNote is a great tool for creating and organizing a curriculum for an educational setting. It allows users a lot of freedom to create layouts that are free-flowing and visually engaging, or more linear and structured documents.

Cons

There are difficulties exporting or printing pages from OneNote; as there are no page lines, if you export a page as a .pdf file it usually does not fit traditional A4/A3 measurements. Also, there is a current shift from OneNote for Windows 10 to the original app, which has a significant impact on how OneNote appears to users.

I really don't like it right now. The automatic syncing is a neat feature, but it doesn't work all the time and I need to be able to access my files even when my internet is down or the syncing isn't working. Don't update to this latest version.

Pros

The automatic syncing is a neat feature.

Cons

The app is a giant pain because it doesn't allow you to export your notes to a file and forces you to sync them to your Microsoft account.
