Data Encryption:
In-Transit and At-Rest: Huddle uses encryption to protect data both in transit and at rest. This ensures that data is secure during transmission and while stored on servers.
Access Controls:
Role-Based Access: Access to resources and environments is granted based on the requirement of a role, adhering to the principle of 'Least Privilege'. This minimizes the risk of unauthorized access.
Multifactor Authentication: Enforced across all applications and services to add an extra layer of security.
Infrastructure and Network Security:
Cloud Infrastructure: Huddle operates on industry-standard cloud infrastructure, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), which provides robust security capabilities.
Penetration Testing: Regular third-party external penetration tests are conducted to assess the security, vulnerability, integrity, and availability of the products.
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC):
OWASP Top Ten: Huddle's SDLC includes adherence to the OWASP Top Ten, which is a recognized list of critical web application security flaws. This helps in identifying and mitigating potential security issues during development.
Automated Testing: Incorporates unit, integration, end-to-end tests, and continuous integration to reduce the risk of bugs and vulnerabilities.
Compliance and Standards:
ISO Standards: Huddle's security program aligns with internationally recognized standards such as ISO 27001/2, 27701, 27017, and 27018, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Monitoring and Incident Response:
Security Monitoring: Utilizes industry-standard tooling and logging layers to monitor service health and detect abnormal behavior.
Update Frequency:
Huddle follows a continuous integration and deployment model, which means updates are released frequently. This includes both minor patches and major updates to address security vulnerabilities and improve functionality. The exact frequency can vary, but updates are typically rolled out as soon as they are ready and have passed all necessary testing phases.
Update Management:
Automated Testing: Before any update is released, it undergoes extensive automated testing, including static and dynamic code analysis, to ensure it does not introduce new vulnerabilities.
Change Management: Peer reviews and version control are integral parts of the change management process to ensure that no unauthorized changes are published.
Data Ownership: Huddle maintains a clear policy on data ownership, ensuring that the confidentiality, privacy, and ownership of information are always maintained. As a Data Processor, Huddle handles Personal Data received from customers as part of the service offered, adhering to the Data Protection Act 2018 guidelines. Huddle has been registered as a Data Controller with the Information Commissioners Office since 2007.
Subscription Plans:
Huddle offers various subscription plans that can be adjusted based on the number of users and the features required. This allows organizations to scale their usage up or down as needed.
User Management:
Adding Users: Organizations can easily add new users to their Huddle account as they grow. This is typically managed through the admin dashboard where new user accounts can be created and assigned appropriate permissions.
Removing Users: Similarly, if the organization needs to downsize, users can be removed from the system, and the subscription can be adjusted accordingly.
Feature Customization:
Huddle allows for customization of features and workspaces, which can be scaled to match the size and complexity of the organization’s projects. This includes setting up new workspaces, adjusting access controls, and integrating with other tools as needed.
Billing Adjustments:
Contract Renewal:
Automatic Renewal: Contracts typically renew automatically at the end of each term unless explicitly cancelled by the user. For example, the maintenance period for software renews annually on the anniversary of the initial download date, subject to payment of maintenance fees.
Notification of Changes: Huddle reserves the right to change fees and pricing applicable to the service at any time upon notice to the user. Continued use of the service following such notification constitutes acceptance of any new or increased fees.
Renewal Term: The renewal term is the period for which the subscription is extended. Users must cancel their subscription before the current term renews to avoid being billed for the next term’s subscription fee.
Cancellation:
No Refunds: All payments and sales are final. Huddle does not provide credit, refunds, price protection, or prorated billing for subscriptions cancelled mid-term. Users will continue to have access to their subscription until the end of the term’s billing cycle.
Cancellation Process: Users may cancel their subscription at any time by informing Huddle via email. The cancellation becomes effective at the end of the current term.
Termination by Huddle: Huddle reserves the right to terminate or suspend access to the service or user account for any reason at its discretion, including breach of terms. Upon termination, Huddle may require users to expunge some or all content in their possession.
