By Restaurant & Catering Systems
CaterZen offers a streamlined implementation process designed to get catering businesses up and running quickly.
Large or multi-location businesses: May take 1–2 weeks if extensive menu items, contacts, or integrations are involved.
CaterZen is designed to support a wide range of catering business models, offering extensive customization options to meet specific operational needs. You can customize:
One-Time Setup/Onboarding Fee: CaterZen typically charges a one-time startup support fee of $299, which covers onboarding specialists. This fee includes importing up to 200 menu items and customer contacts. If you need to import more, there is an additional per-item charge.
Cloud Hosting: As a cloud-based platform, there are no infrastructure or hosting costs outside the regular subscription.
Training: The initial onboarding and training are covered by the startup fee. Additional training and access to tutorials remain free for active subscribers.
No User Fees: Unlimited users are included without extra charges.
Data Ownership:
Data that users create and store in their CaterZen account is owned by the organization or individual using the platform. CaterZen itself does not claim ownership of your organization’s unique data files, customer records, or menu information. However, the platform reserves the ability to access your data for operational purposes, technical support, or legal compliance. Publicly shared data (such as marketing assets made visible to external users) may be used for promotional or operational reasons per CaterZen’s terms.
Data Portability:
CaterZen adheres to modern data protection and privacy norms, meaning you have the right to request a copy of your personal and organizational data at any time. Typically, this data is provided in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format (such as CSV or XML), facilitating easy transfer to another system should you decide to switch platforms. Data portability requests are processed in accordance with privacy laws (e.g., GDPR), so there’s no unreasonable hindrance or proprietary lock-in if you wish to move your data elsewhere.
CaterZen’s subscription model is designed to accommodate both growth and downsizing:
