Webuzo
By Softaculous Ltd.
Affordability: This is the most cited benefit. Following the significant price increases of cPanel, many reviewers highlight Webuzo as a "budget-friendly" alternative that offers similar features for a fraction of the cost.
Softaculous Integration: Since Webuzo is developed by the same team behind Softaculous, users love the "one-click install" access to over 450 applications (WordPress, Joomla, etc.). It is widely considered the best implementation of an app installer in any control panel.
Speed and Performance: Reviewers frequently mention that Webuzo is "lightweight" and has a low memory footprint. It is often praised for being faster and more responsive on low-end Virtual Private Servers (VPS) than heavier panels.
Modern User Interface (v3): With the release of version 3, many users have praised the "clean, modern, and professional" look of the dashboard, noting it is much more intuitive than older versions or competing open-source panels.
Multi-PHP Support: Developers appreciate the ease with which they can run multiple versions of PHP simultaneously on the same server, which is essential for hosting a variety of legacy and modern websites.
Documentation Gaps: A common complaint is that the official documentation can be "outdated" or "incomplete." Users often find themselves searching through community forums or YouTube videos to find solutions for specific configuration issues.
Initial Learning Curve: While version 3 improved the UI, some users still find the initial server setup—particularly regarding DNS clusters and firewall configurations—to be "less user-friendly" than cPanel.
Limited Third-Party Ecosystem: Unlike cPanel, which has a massive library of third-party plugins and integrations, Webuzo has a "smaller ecosystem." If you rely on very specific niche server plugins, you may find they aren't natively supported.
