VTS
By View The Space
VTS is the leading PropTech (property technology) platform in the commercial real estate (CRE) industry, headquartered in New York City and founded in 2012. It unifies owners, operators, brokers, and tenants in a single ecosystem that digitizes leasing, asset management, marketing, and tenant experience operations. The platform manages over 13 billion square feet of assets globally, covering office, retail, industrial, and multifamily properties, and serves many of the world’s largest landlords and investment managers, including Blackstone, Brookfield, JLL, Oxford Properties, LaSalle Investment Management, and CBRE.
VTS was founded in 2012 by Nick Romito, Ryan Masiello, and Karl Baum in New York City, initially as a video‑listing service called “View The Space.” The founders—experienced CRE professionals—recognized the inefficiency of in‑person showings and pivoted toward building a centralized software platform for leasing and asset management. VTS’s breakthrough came when it launched its leasing management system (later VTS Lease), establishing itself as the first unified digital workspace for CRE deal management. The company has since expanded to more than 500–1,000 employees across offices in New York, Toronto, London, and Singapore.
VTS has raised more than $452 million across nine rounds, including a $125 million Series E round in 2022 led by CBRE, which also took a board seat. Earlier investors include Bessemer Venture Partners and BentallGreenOak. Its valuation surpassed $1 billion in 2019, marking unicorn status, and its total capital pool (equity + debt) now exceeds $600 million, supporting global expansion and a continued acquisition strategy.
Recent VTS releases introduced several advanced capabilities:
GenAI Proposal Assist – Extracts key lease details from documents, cutting manual review time.
VTS Analyst – Conversational AI chatbot for real‑time market insights and portfolio comparisons.
Work Order Management – Part of VTS Activate, offering conditional notifications, SLA tracking, and admin‑tenant chat for maintenance efficiency.
Enhanced Data Integrations – Centralized reporting dashboards and floor‑mapping of tenant suites.
These updates collectively improve speed, transparency, and operational visibility for landlords and managers.
VTS emphasizes a values‑driven, inclusive culture focused on collaboration, customer empathy, and continuous learning:
Core Values: “Appreciate the Difference,” “Make Every Moment Count,” and “Be Resilient and Curious,” selected company‑wide to reflect both individuality and accountability.
