TrulySmall Invoices

TrulySmall Invoices is an agile, mobile-first invoicing platform specifically engineered for the 'truly small' business sector, which includes freelancers, solo practitioners, independent contractors, and consultants. Developed by the seasoned team at Kashoo, the software addresses the common pain point of overly complex accounting systems that overwhelm micro-business owners. It streamlines the entire billing lifecycle by allowing users to generate professional, branded invoices and estimates directly from their smartphones or web browsers in under a minute. The tool eliminates manual data entry through pre-filled client contacts and intelligent tax settings, ensuring that users can send bills before even leaving a job site. Beyond basic invoice generation, TrulySmall Invoices incorporates automated workflows such as payment reminders and real-time status tracking, which significantly reduces the time-to-payment for small operators. By integrating seamlessly with major payment gateways like Stripe and PayPal, it provides a 'Pay Now' button on every invoice, facilitating immediate digital transactions. As businesses grow, the product offers a direct migration path to its sibling applications, TrulySmall Expenses and TrulySmall Accounting, creating a scalable financial ecosystem that evolves with the user's organizational complexity. This focus on simplicity and speed makes it a foundational tool for entrepreneurs who prioritize billable work over administrative overhead.

TrulySmall Invoices distinguishes itself through a philosophy of 'radical simplicity' that contrasts sharply with enterprise-grade alternatives like QuickBooks or Xero. While those platforms offer exhaustive feature sets, they often introduce excessive administrative friction for freelancers. TrulySmall's competitive edge lies in its ultra-fast, mobile-optimized user experience that requires zero accounting knowledge to operate. Its 'first five invoices free' model provides a risk-free entry point for new businesses, while its flat-rate monthly pricing for unlimited invoicing avoids the complex tiering found in many competitors. Another key differentiator is its seamless vertical integration within the TrulySmall ecosystem. Unlike standalone invoicing apps that require complex third-party integrations (like Zapier) to talk to accounting software, TrulySmall Invoices is natively compatible with TrulySmall Accounting. This allows for 'one-click' reconciliation where invoice payments are automatically matched to bank transactions using machine learning. Additionally, the platform offers unique features tailored for micro-businesses, such as the ability to recover payment processing fees by automatically adding a small convenience fee to digital invoices—a critical feature for low-margin contractors. The combination of its Vancouver-based human support team, high-rated mobile apps, and its heritage under the Kashoo brand gives users enterprise-level reliability with the agility of a startup-focused tool.
