Teledentix

Teledentix is a leading cloud-based teledentistry platform developed by Virtual Dental Care, Inc., designed to expand dental care access through telehealth and mobile delivery technologies.

Virtual Dental Care is headquartered in Orange County, California, providing comprehensive teledentistry software and services through its flagship platform, Teledentix. The company’s mission is to “bridge the gap in dental care access” by enabling digital connectivity between providers and patients in any setting, including clinics, community programs, and mobile dental units.

Virtual Dental Care was founded in 2016 by Richard Lee and Dr. William Jackson, both veteran dental technology innovators who previously co‑founded DentalXChange (the largest EDI clearinghouse in dentistry) and Planet DDS (the first cloud-based dental practice management system). Their goal in creating Teledentix was to modernize dentistry for underserved populations and integrate oral care into broader telehealth ecosystems.

Virtual Dental Care has not disclosed external venture funding, and reports show no public funding rounds to date. According to 2025 estimates, the company’s annual revenue is approximately $4.3 million, with 23 employees and an estimated revenue per employee of $189 K. Its focus remains on sustainable organic growth through software licensing to dental organizations, insurers, and mobile program partners rather than venture scaling.
