Relay.app typical implementation process:
Initial Setup and Registration: Sign up on the Relay.app platform, set up your workspace, and invite team members as needed. This usually takes just a few minutes.
Integration with Existing Tools: Connect Relay.app to your existing apps (e.g., Airtable, Slack, Notion) using built-in integrations. The process typically involves authorizing access and can be completed in less than an hour for most standard tools.
Workflow Design: Use Relay.app’s intuitive workflow builder to design automations, add human-in-the-loop steps (like approvals), and configure AI agents for tasks such as summarization or data extraction. Simple workflows can often be created within an hour; complex ones may require a few hours to a day.
Testing and Refinement: Test automations using Relay.app’s clear interface and troubleshooting tools. Refine as needed based on performance and feedback, usually taking anywhere from a few minutes to a day, depending on workflow complexity.
Training and Onboarding (Optional): Teams may offer brief training to members on workflow usage and automation management. This typically takes less than a day.
Relay.app can be extensively customized to fit specific business needs, offering both technical flexibility and user-friendly tailoring options. Here are key data points supporting its customizability:
Custom Workflow Builder: Users can design unique automations by combining AI steps, human-in-the-loop actions (such as approvals or data entry), and branching logic. This allows teams to build processes that match their exact operational requirements.
Conditional Paths and Iterators: Relay.app supports conditional workflow paths and data iterators, enabling businesses to create workflows that adapt to different scenarios, data inputs, or process variations.
Custom AI Prompts: Teams can create custom AI-powered steps and prompts for tasks like summarizing, translating, or extracting data, and can fine-tune these to meet niche use cases or industry-specific workflows.
Human Oversight Integration: With configurable steps for manual review, approvals, and assignments, companies can keep people involved wherever judgment or contextual awareness is crucial.
100+ Deep Integrations: Relay.app connects with a wide array of other tools (e.g., Airtable, Salesforce, Notion, HubSpot, ClickUp, Slack), allowing businesses to automate across their existing software stack and tailor data flows to their environment.
Flexible Permissioning and Roles: Businesses can set fine-grained roles and permissions for different team members, ensuring that only the right people can build, edit, or approve workflows and tasks.
Data Structuring and Organization: The platform allows users to build flows that process, clean, and organize data for unique business cases, such as onboarding, lead management, or document processing.
Custom Notifications & Alerts: Relay.app lets users configure when, how, and to whom notifications and alerts are sent as part of automations, ensuring fit with internal processes or escalation protocols.
Team/Department Collaboration: Multiple teammates can edit, comment, and monitor flows, making it easy for cross-functional groups to customize workflows to departmental requirements.
API and Webhooks: Advanced users can leverage webhooks and API connectors for integrations not natively available, enabling custom triggers and actions.
Ongoing Feature Expansion: Relay.app is known for rapid response to user feedback and regularly adds new customization features and app integrations as requested by its user base.
