The management of updates at PrivCo involves a multi-step approach to ensure data accuracy and reliability. Here are the key steps involved:
Data Collection:
PrivCo begins with a curated list of reputable data sources, including filings, publications, and credible news sources.
AI and Machine Learning:
These sources are used to inform and model AI and machine-learning algorithms, which help uncover key data points such as revenues, employee counts, valuations, growth signals, and deals.
Verification:
A highly trained team of data scientists and engineers verifies the data collected by the algorithms. This verification process ensures that the information is accurate and up-to-date.
Continuous Updates:
The profiles of private companies are updated continuously on a rolling basis, which means that as new information becomes available, it is promptly incorporated into the database.

PrivCo's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy outline the following key points regarding data ownership:
Reservation of Rights:
PrivCo and its licensors reserve all rights, title, and interest in and to the Services and Data, including all related intellectual property rights. Users are granted limited rights to access and use the Services and Data as specified in the agreement and order forms.
User Responsibilities:
Users are responsible for preventing unauthorized access to or use of the Services and Data and must notify PrivCo promptly of any such unauthorized access or use.
Prohibited Actions:
Users are prohibited from making the Services or Data available to anyone other than authorized users, publishing, sharing, or distributing the Data, and using the Data to build a competitive product or service.
Data Portability
PrivCo's policies also address data portability, ensuring users can transfer their data as needed:
Right to Data Portability:
Users have the right to data portability, which allows them to request a copy of their personal data in a commonly used, machine-readable format. This enables users to transfer their data to another service provider.
User Rights:
Users can request to access, rectify, or erase their personal data, and they have the right to restrict or object to the processing of their data. These rights support the portability and control of user data.
Data Removal:
If PrivCo is required by a third party to remove any Data, or if it receives information that Data provided may violate applicable law or third-party rights, PrivCo may notify users to remove such Data from their systems. If users do not comply, PrivCo may disable the applicable Data and Services until the issue is resolved.
Confidentiality and Security:
Subscription Adjustments:
Users can adjust their subscription levels to accommodate increased or decreased usage. This includes scaling up to access more data or features or scaling down to a more basic plan.
Usage Limits:
Services and access to data are subject to usage limits specified in the Order Forms and Documentation. If users exceed these limits, PrivCo may suspend or terminate access to the services.
Custom Solutions:
PrivCo offers custom solutions, such as data reports, which can be tailored to meet specific business needs. These solutions provide additional flexibility for scaling up services as required.
Enterprise Plans:
Termination by User:
Users may terminate the agreement for cause with 30 days' written notice if there is a material breach that remains uncured or if the other party becomes insolvent.
Users can also cancel their subscription by emailing PrivCo with their contact number and start date in the subject line.
Termination by PrivCo:
PrivCo may terminate the agreement for convenience with 30 days' prior notice.
If PrivCo terminates the agreement for convenience, they will refund any prepaid fees covering the remainder of the term after the effective date of termination.
Refunds and Payments:
If the agreement is terminated by the user for cause or by PrivCo for convenience, PrivCo will refund any prepaid fees for the remainder of the term. However, no refunds are provided for PrivCo Select Subscriptions or Custom Solutions.
If PrivCo terminates the agreement for cause, the user must pay any unpaid fees for the remainder of the term.
Automatic Renewals:
Subscriptions are automatically renewed unless canceled by the user before the renewal date. Users must cancel their subscription to avoid being billed for the next period.
