Founded in 2016 by Zeid Husban, a seasoned entrepreneur who had previous successful exits, POSRocket emerged to solve issues with fixed legacy POS systems. The company launched at a time when cloud technology for POS in the region was nascent. Over the years, it has expanded operations with offices in Jordan, Egypt, and Kuwait, and has plans to enter the Saudi Arabian market. POSRocket has achieved significant year-on-year growth, securing thousands of merchants and managing an aggregate transaction value exceeding $2 billion.
Initial seed round in July 2018 raising $1.5 million led by Algebra Ventures with participation from KISP Ventures, Arzan VC, and others.
In January 2022, POSRocket was acquired by Foodics, another leading POS provider in the Middle East, consolidating market presence and technological capabilities.
POSRocket continues to innovate by integrating advanced technologies like machine learning and blockchain to enhance its merchant-centric platform. Features such as real-time monitoring, mobile bookings, seamless inventory control, and extended loyalty program functionalities highlight their ongoing product development focus.
