• Full Implementation: 4–8 weeks for most enterprise-grade apps.
• Ongoing Iteration: Continuous delivery model allows for frequent updates and improvements.

Plant an App is highly customizable and designed to adapt to a wide range of business requirements. Here are the key customization capabilities:

• Hybrid Development Model: Combines no-code (for business users) and low-code (for developers), allowing both simple and complex customizations.
• Custom Workflows: Users can create complex business logic using visual workflows and conditional logic.
• Custom Code Support: Developers can inject JavaScript, SQL, Razor, and .NET code to extend functionality beyond visual tools.
• Modular Architecture: Applications can be built using reusable components, making it easier to tailor solutions for different departments or industries.
• API Integration: Easily integrates with third-party systems like Salesforce, Slack, and custom APIs, enabling seamless data exchange.
• UI Customization: While the platform provides default themes, developers can override them with custom CSS and HTML for a tailored user experience.

This flexibility makes it suitable for industries like healthcare, finance, logistics, and government.

Plant an App follows a predictable pricing model, but some additional costs may apply depending on your deployment and support needs:

• Setup Fees: Not explicitly listed, but enterprise implementations may involve initial onboarding or configuration costs, especially for on-premise deployments.
• Maintenance: Included in the subscription for cloud-hosted solutions. For on-premise, maintenance may require internal IT resources or additional support contracts.
• Support Charges:
  • Standard Support is included in most plans.

  • Premium Support or a Technical Success Manager (TSM) may be available at an extra cost for enterprise clients.

• Training: Access to the Plant an App Academy is typically included, but custom training sessions may incur additional fees.
• Custom Development: If you require Plant an App’s team to build or customize features, this would be billed separately.

For exact pricing, businesses are encouraged to contact the sales team for a tailored quote.

This multi-layered approach ensures that both business users and developers can quickly become proficient.

Plant an App implements a range of enterprise-grade security features to protect user data and ensure platform integrity:

Application-Level Security

• Anti-Forgery Tokens: Uses __RequestVerificationToken to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks.
• Session Management: Secure session cookies like ASP.Net_SessionId and .DOTNETNUKE for authenticated access.

• CAPTCHA & Permissions: Built-in support for CAPTCHA and granular role-based access control.

Network & Data Security

• IP Whitelisting: Allows access only from approved IP addresses, enhancing perimeter security.
• TLS Encryption: Requires TLS 1.2 with specific cipher suites for secure data transmission.

• Data Anonymization: Analytics cookies are anonymized to protect user privacy.

Compliance & Hosting

• Hosted on secure infrastructure (e.g., AWS), with best practices for data protection.
• Regular updates and patches to address vulnerabilities.

These measures make Plant an App suitable for industries with strict compliance needs, such as healthcare and finance.

Plant an App follows a structured and frequent update cycle, typically releasing new versions every few months. Here's how the update process works:

Update Frequency

• Regular Releases: New versions are released periodically, with version 1.27 being one of the latest documented updates.

• Incremental Upgrades: Users must update sequentially—i.e., if you're two versions behind, you must install each intermediate version in order.

Update Management

• Release Notes: Each version comes with detailed release notes outlining:
  • New features
  • Bug fixes
  • Security enhancements
  • Breaking changes (e.g., minimum DNN version requirements)
• Experimental Features: Some updates include experimental tools like a File Manager or Workflow Contracts, which are refined based on user feedback.
• Licensing Updates: Users can now update their license directly from the platform without manual intervention.

This structured approach ensures stability while allowing users to benefit from continuous innovation.

Plant an App has a clear and user-friendly data ownership policy:

Data Ownership

• You Own Your Data: Plant an App explicitly states that it does not claim ownership of any materials (including data, feedback, or content) that users upload or submit to the platform.

• This includes all application data, configurations, and custom code developed within the platform.

Data Portability

• While specific tools for exporting full applications or databases aren't detailed, the platform supports:
  • API access for data extraction.
  • Custom connectors and SQL access for integration with external systems.
  • On-premise deployment, which gives full control over data storage and access.

This makes it easier for organizations to migrate or replicate their applications and data if needed.

Plant an App is designed to be highly scalable, both technically and contractually:

• Scalability Features:
  • Supports millions of users and multi-application environments.
  • Built on a modular architecture, allowing organizations to scale features, users, and integrations as needed.
  • Designed for cloud and on-premise deployments, which can be adjusted based on infrastructure needs.
• Flexible Licensing:
  • Offers single and multi-application plans, making it easier to scale up or down depending on project scope.
  • Organizations can adapt seamlessly to changing priorities and workloads, especially in dynamic sectors like government.
• No Downtime Scaling:
  • The platform supports live updates and deployments, allowing scaling without interrupting service.

• Renewal:
  • Contracts are likely subscription-based, with renewal terms defined during onboarding.
  • Users are encouraged to contact support for renewal or licensing updates.
• Cancellation:
  • Users dissatisfied with the service may discontinue use as their sole remedy.
  • No explicit mention of cancellation fees or notice periods, suggesting a flexible exit policy, but this should be confirmed during contract negotiation.
• Support Contact: For any service-related issues, users are directed to contact [email protected].

Plant an App is committed to enterprise-grade compliance, especially for industries with strict regulatory requirements:

• SOC 2 Compliance:

  • Officially SOC 2 compliant, ensuring strong controls around security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.

• Industry Alignment:

  • Works with banks, governments, educational institutions, and financial organizations, all of which require high compliance standards.

• Security Infrastructure:
  • Uses TLS 1.2 encryption, IP whitelisting, anti-forgery tokens, and role-based access control to meet compliance needs.

These standards make it suitable for regulated sectors like finance, healthcare, and public administration.
