Planforge

Planforge (formerly ONEPOINT Projects) is a privately held software company based in Graz, Austria. It specializes in hybrid project and portfolio management (PPM) solutions that integrate traditional, agile, and hybrid methodologies into a unified platform. The company serves industries ranging from automotive and aerospace to healthcare, government, and education.

• Founded: 2005 by Gerald Aquila, who remains the CEO.

• Origin Story: Aquila identified a gap between project and resource management while working in European content management software. Planforge was born to bridge that gap with a lifecycle-supportive PPM tool.

Planforge provides a robust suite of project and portfolio management tools:

• Hybrid PPM Platform: Combines agile (Scrum, SAFe®) and traditional (PMI®, PRINCE2®) methodologies.

• Integrations: Seamless connectivity with Jira, Slack, SAP, and Confluence.

• Deployment Options: Available as cloud-hosted SaaS or on-premises installation.

• Free Edition: Entry-level cloud version for up to 4 project managers.

• Compliance: Adheres to standards like GDPR, PMI®, IPMA®, and SAFe®.

• AI-Powered Project Work Management: Launched in late 2024 to enhance automation and decision-making.

• Product Maturity Level Tracking: Introduced in early 2025 with gate management options for better lifecycle control.

Planforge emphasizes:

• Flexibility: Belief that no single methodology fits all projects.

• Privacy Respect: No monitoring of user projects or unauthorized data collection.
