Midaxo enforces enterprise-grade security to protect sensitive corporate development and M&A data across its cloud platform. All data is stored in secure, encrypted environments, with rigorous access controls providing granular permissions according to user roles and workspace assignments. The platform utilizes secure virtual data rooms (VDRs) for deal and diligence documentation, applying watermarking, audit trails, and document-level restrictions to limit access and prevent unauthorized sharing.
Midaxo operates as a cloud-native platform and delivers frequent, managed updates to all customers through its SaaS environment. Updates are typically released on a regular schedule—often monthly or quarterly—which allows the platform to introduce new features, security enhancements, and usability improvements without user disruption. Because Midaxo is cloud-hosted, updates are applied centrally by the provider, eliminating the need for customer IT teams to manually install patches or upgrades.
Customers are informed in advance about upcoming changes, and release notes are shared detailing new capabilities, fixes, and any required user actions. Critical updates, such as security enhancements, may be deployed more rapidly when needed. Midaxo’s support and customer success teams remain available to assist clients with any questions or adoption of new features, ensuring that platform improvements are smoothly integrated into organizational workflows and that clients continue to benefit from the latest enhancements.
Midaxo’s policy on data ownership and portability is designed to ensure that client organizations retain full control and ownership of their data stored within the platform. All information, documents, and deal records uploaded or generated by the customer remain the intellectual property of that customer at all times. When required, Midaxo enables clients to export or extract their data—such as reports, spreadsheets, documents, and project logs—through built-in export tools or via integrations and APIs. This commitment to data portability ensures that customers can retrieve their information in standard formats whenever needed, such as when concluding an engagement or transitioning to another system. Midaxo’s data management approach is further backed by robust security and compliance protocols that protect and maintain the integrity of client-owned data throughout its lifecycle on the cloud platform.
Midaxo’s contract renewal and cancellation terms are structured to offer clarity and flexibility typical of enterprise SaaS agreements, while ensuring continuity and data protection for clients.
Contract renewal is generally handled on an annual basis, with clear notification periods set before the renewal date to allow organizations to review, renegotiate, or cancel their agreement as needed.
Customers are typically given a specific window (often 30–90 days before the contract’s anniversary or renewal date) during which they may serve notice for non-renewal or intent to terminate, helping avoid automatic renewals without consent.
Agreement terms usually stipulate that if no notice is given, the contract will auto-renew under the same terms and pricing, unless otherwise renegotiated, supporting ongoing access and service continuity.
For cancellation, written notice must generally be provided by the organization’s authorized representative, and the platform ensures a clear process for account deactivation and data management.
Upon cancellation or non-renewal, organizations retain the right to export or retrieve their data from the platform, aiding compliance and supporting seamless transition to other solutions.
Provisions are also in place to ensure secure deletion or archival of data after a defined period post-cancellation, in line with security and compliance standards.
Midaxo meets a range of key compliance standards to ensure that sensitive M&A and corporate development data is protected in line with global regulatory requirements. The platform is built to support enterprise cloud security and data governance, typically aligning with standards such as ISO 27001 for information security management, SOC 2 for service organization controls, and GDPR for data privacy and protection for customers operating in or with the European Union. These certifications and frameworks help verify that Midaxo maintains strong controls over data confidentiality, integrity, and access.
Additionally, Midaxo enforces secure data handling within its virtual data rooms, applies audit trails, and supports retention and deletion policies to aid clients with their own compliance obligations. The software’s support for single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), role-based permissions, and detailed access logging further helps organizations adhere to both internal and external regulatory requirements. These compliance capabilities are matched by regular security reviews and ongoing updates to remain aligned with the latest industry and legal standards.
