Konnect eMail Central

Konnect eMail Central is a specialized Outlook add-in developed to bridge the gap between email communication and enterprise content management systems like SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive. Designed for organizations that rely heavily on Microsoft 365, this tool simplifies the process of saving, classifying, and managing emails and attachments directly from Outlook. It is particularly valuable for businesses and government agencies that must adhere to strict records management and compliance standards. The platform offers two main versions: Konnect eMail Central Classic and Konnect eMail Central (New). The newer version is engineered for modern environments and supports mobile, web, Mac, and New Outlook. It features a sleek, web-based interface that integrates seamlessly into Outlook, creating a sidebar that allows users to save emails and attachments with a single click—often in under two seconds. This intuitive design minimizes the learning curve and ensures quick adoption across teams. One of the standout features of Konnect eMail Central is its ability to extract email properties and automatically apply them as metadata to SharePoint fields. This functionality supports consistent classification, improves searchability, and ensures compliance with organizational records management policies. Users can tag and capture metadata directly from their inbox, eliminating the need for manual entry and reducing the risk of errors. Beyond saving emails, Konnect eMail Central enhances collaboration by allowing users to share and attach SharePoint content directly within Outlook. Whether sending a document link or attaching files, users maintain full access to SharePoint’s version control and permissions, ensuring secure and compliant sharing. This feature is especially useful for teams that use Outlook for communication and SharePoint for document management. The add-in also includes advanced search and filtering capabilities, enabling users to locate SharePoint content—such as documents and lists—without leaving Outlook. This integration streamlines workflows and boosts productivity by bringing the power of SharePoint search into the daily email experience. Konnect eMail Central is compatible with multiple devices and platforms, including Windows, Mac, mobile, and web-based Outlook. It supports drag-and-drop functionality, custom naming conventions, and integrates with other web applications like Dropbox, Jira, and Confluence. The platform is ISO 27001:2022 certified, reflecting its commitment to data security and compliance.
