Invoice Fly

Tailor-Made Repair Workflows: The single biggest compliment the software receives is that it is built specifically for repairs, rather than general retail. Users love the dedicated device intake management, which allows technicians to log pre-repair checklists, note device conditions, and attach specific accessory tracking (like power cords or cases) to tickets.

Highly Customizable Data Fields: Owners appreciate the ability to create bespoke, searchable fields for specific lines of business (e.g., tracking a specific sewing machine model or drone serial number). This versatility allows it to accommodate niche repair businesses outside of just cell phones.

Automated Customer Communication: The automated SMS and email status update triggers are heavily praised. Customers are automatically notified when their device diagnostics are complete or when the item is ready for pickup, which drastically cuts down on manual phone calls.

Stellar, Accessible Customer Support: Reviewers frequently call out RepairDesk’s support infrastructure as a massive win. Many mention having dedicated account managers or receiving immediate help via live chat, video calls, or their active Facebook community group.

Time-Saving AI Tools: Recent feedback notes the helpfulness of built-in AI writing assistants. Technicians can type messy or quick bulleted diagnostic notes and let the AI polish them into clear, professional summaries for customer invoices.

Rigid Workflow Structures After Use: A prominent operational complaint is that once a specific workflow or status pathway has been actively used in a ticket, it becomes locked down. Admins note that modifying or fixing workflow errors retroactively can be highly inconvenient.

Occasional System Glitches and Bugs: While overall stability is rated positively, users report encountering frequent minor bugs, particularly around shift transitions (such as closing out cash drawers at the end of the day) or occasional delays in automated SMS delivery.

Extensive Initial Setup Time: Because the system is incredibly deep and highly customizable, getting it running requires an investment of time. Reviewers warn that building out a clean, un-cluttered inventory database takes careful planning, or the backend can quickly become unmanageable.
