The implementation process for Frazer software typically involves several key steps, and the time it takes can vary depending on the specific needs of the dealership. Here is a brief overview of the process:
Download and Installation: The first step is to download the Frazer software. Once the download is complete, users are prompted to save the file and proceed with the installation process.
Configuration: After installation, significant configuration is often required. This includes setting up system options, vehicle options, and other dealership-specific settings to tailor the software to the dealership's operations.
Data Migration: For dealerships transitioning from another system, data migration is a critical step. This involves transferring existing data, such as customer information and vehicle inventory, into the Frazer system. This step can be time-intensive and requires careful management to ensure data accuracy.
Training and Support: Frazer provides support and resources to help dealerships understand how to use the software effectively. This includes access to help manuals and possibly training sessions to ensure users are comfortable with the system's features.
Go-Live and Testing: Once the software is configured and data is migrated, the dealership can begin using Frazer in a live environment. Initial testing and troubleshooting may be needed to address any issues that arise during the transition.
The overall implementation time can vary, but it is often considered a time-intensive process due to the configuration and data migration efforts required. The exact duration will depend on the complexity of the dealership's operations and the amount of data being transferred.
Frazer software offers some degree of customization to fit specific business needs, particularly through its form management capabilities. Here are several data points regarding its customization features:
Custom Forms: Frazer provides the ability to customize forms at no additional charge. Users can submit forms they have created in Word or PDF format, and Frazer will integrate these into the system. This feature allows dealerships to use their own forms for various processes, ensuring that the software aligns with their specific operational requirements.
Basic Customization: While Frazer covers the basic needs of independent used car dealerships, it lacks extensive customization options for more complex workflows. This limitation may be a concern for larger dealerships that require more tailored solutions or integrations with other third-party tools.
Frazer provides some customization capabilities, especially in terms of form management, which can be beneficial for dealerships looking to maintain specific documentation standards. However, its customization options are somewhat limited compared to more flexible systems, making it best suited for smaller, independent dealerships with straightforward operational needs.

Frazer releases updates to its dealer management software on a weekly basis. These updates are not automatic and must be manually initiated by the user. Here is a brief overview of how the update process is managed:
Manual Update Process: Users need to manually check for updates by clicking on the "Updates" option within the Frazer software. This requires an internet connection and must be done from the main server computer where Frazer is installed.
Installation Steps: Once an update is initiated, the software downloads the latest version. After the download, Frazer will close, and an installation screen will appear. Users need to follow the prompts to complete the installation, ensuring that the destination folder is correct.
System Requirements: During the update, all sub-windows in the program should be closed, and Frazer should not be running on any workstation computers to avoid conflicts.
Update Management: Frazer may open and close several times during the update process to update various data files. Users are advised to ensure that the program is not minimized or open on any workstation computers to prevent errors.
Firewall and Network Settings: Local firewall settings and network proxies can affect the update process. If issues arise, users may need to consult their local technician to adjust these settings.
Update History: Frazer maintains a report listing the last 25 updates, including the date and type of update. This can be useful for troubleshooting and ensuring that the software is up-to-date.
By providing regular updates, Frazer ensures that its software remains current with new features and security enhancements, although the manual nature of the update process requires user involvement to ensure successful implementation.

Termination for Insolvency: Either party may terminate the agreement upon written notice if the other party becomes insolvent, files for bankruptcy, or ceases normal business operations. This provision protects both parties from continuing a contract under financially unstable conditions.
