d.velop process studio
By d.velop AG
Accessible No-Code Approach: One of the most praised features is the visual drag-and-drop editor. Users highlight that departments (such as HR or Finance) can model their own processes without requiring deep IT or coding knowledge.
Seamless d.velop Ecosystem Integration: For companies already using d.velop documents (DMS), the process studio is seen as a "natural extension." It integrates perfectly with digital archives and automated document capture (OCR), creating a true end-to-end digital workplace.
Rapid Implementation: Reviews often mention that standard processes, like digital leave applications or simple approvals, can be implemented and "go live" very quickly compared to heavy ERP-based workflows.
Responsive Template Library: The availability of ready-made templates helps teams start projects immediately rather than building from a blank canvas.
Powerful REST API: Tech-heavy users like the ability to break "system boundaries" by connecting the studio to third-party tools like Microsoft Teams via the Power Platform connector or direct APIs.
Limited "Advanced" Customization Out-of-the-Box: While the no-code features are strong, some reviews suggest that highly unique, "out-of-the-norm" business logic may still require JavaScript knowledge and use of the scripting engine, which negates the "no-code" benefit for those specific tasks.
Support Response Variations: Some users have reported that while the software is reliable, technical support response times for complex integration issues can occasionally be slower than expected.
UI Modernity: While functional and recently updated (Q4 2025), a few users have remarked that certain administrative back-end menus can still feel slightly "technical" and less polished than modern consumer-facing apps.
