Countfire

Countfire is a cloud-based takeoff and estimating software designed specifically for electrical and mechanical contractors. Built by experienced estimators, it offers a streamlined, automated solution for producing accurate project estimates with speed and precision. The platform eliminates the need for manual symbol counting and spreadsheet-based workflows, replacing them with intelligent automation that can process thousands of symbols across multiple PDF drawings in seconds. This dramatically reduces the time required for takeoffs, often by up to 90% and ensures consistency and accuracy throughout the estimating process. One of Countfire’s standout features is its true automated takeoff capability. Users can upload project drawings and instantly count symbols across entire sets, even when dealing with complex or poorly drawn plans. The software includes built-in accuracy checks, helping estimators avoid costly errors and confidently deliver precise quantities. It also supports revisions by automatically comparing updated drawings and specifications, highlighting changes, and syncing them with previous work to avoid redundant re-counts. Countfire’s estimating tools are equally robust. The platform allows users to import takeoff quantities with a single click and generate client-ready Excel proposals that include detailed breakdowns of items and pricing. Intelligent algorithms learn from previous estimates, enabling auto-pricing of frequently used items and helping users maintain consistency across projects. Estimators can fine-tune profit margins, group data for clarity, and adapt reports to match client pricing schedules, all within a flexible, cloud-based environment. Designed for collaboration, Countfire enables teams to work remotely while maintaining full visibility over project progress. Its cloud infrastructure means users can access their work from any device, whether PC or Mac, without the need for downloads or installations. This flexibility is especially valuable for companies managing multiple estimators or working across different locations. The software also supports annotation and note-taking directly on drawings, making communication and documentation more efficient. Countfire is trusted by professionals across sectors, including electrical, lighting, fire sprinkler, security, data, AV, and mechanical systems. Its user-friendly interface and powerful automation have earned it praise from estimators worldwide, many of whom report significant time savings and improved accuracy. For example, tasks that once took hours can now be completed in minutes, and entire tender packages can be turned around in days instead of weeks. Countfire is more than just a takeoff tool; it’s a comprehensive estimating platform that helps contractors modernize their workflows, reduce repetitive tasks, and win more bids. By combining industry expertise with cutting-edge technology, Countfire empowers estimators to focus on what matters most: delivering competitive, accurate, and timely proposals that drive business success.

Countfire stands out in the competitive landscape of estimating software by offering a truly automated, cloud-based solution tailored specifically for electrical and mechanical contractors. Unlike many traditional platforms that rely heavily on manual input and fragmented workflows, Countfire integrates intelligent automation with user-friendly design to streamline the entire takeoff and estimating process. This gives it a significant edge in speed, accuracy, and usability. One of Countfire’s most powerful differentiators is its true automated symbol counting. While other software may offer semi-automated features, Countfire can scan and count thousands of symbols across multiple PDF drawings in seconds. This drastically reduces the time spent on manual takeoffs and minimizes human error. The software also includes four stages of built-in accuracy checks, ensuring that every estimate is reliable and complete before submission 1. Another competitive advantage is Countfire’s ability to handle incomplete or poorly drawn plans. Users can add missing symbols, edit selections, and manage false positives with ease, making it highly adaptable to real-world scenarios where drawings are often imperfect 1. Additionally, Countfire supports drawing overlays and comparisons, allowing estimators to stitch together floor plans and highlight changes between revisions without starting from scratch 1. Countfire’s estimating capabilities are equally advanced. It learns from previous projects to auto-populate pricing for frequently used items, helping users maintain consistency and speed across estimates. The platform also allows for fine-tuning profit margins, grouping data for client clarity, and adapting reports to match specific pricing schedules—all within a single, cloud-based environment 2. Collaboration is another area where Countfire excels. Its cloud infrastructure enables teams to work remotely from any device, whether PC or Mac, without the need for downloads or installations. This flexibility is ideal for companies with distributed teams or multiple estimators working on the same project 2. Finally, Countfire’s customer-centric design—shaped by former estimators—ensures that every feature addresses real industry needs. The platform is praised for its ease of use, time-saving capabilities, and robust support. Many users report that Countfire has become an indispensable part of their workflow, with some even willing to personally invest in the software due to its value 1 2. Countfire’s competitive edge lies in its automation, adaptability, collaborative features, and deep industry insight. It empowers contractors to produce faster, more accurate estimates while reducing repetitive tasks and improving overall efficiency.
