Shift Browser
By Redbrick Company
Streamlined Workflow & Productivity: It's described as a "game changer" that makes work smoother and more intentional. It saves time by reducing the constant switching between browser tabs and windows (the "toggling tax").
Account Centralization: Shift brings all your email accounts (Gmail, Outlook, Office 365) and over 1,500 apps (Slack, WhatsApp, Asana, etc.) into a single, organized desktop application. Users appreciate being able to manage all their inboxes and tools in one spot.
Multiple Account Management: Users can easily toggle between multiple work and personal accounts (even within the same app like Gmail or Google Drive) without needing to repeatedly log in and out. It allows you to stay signed in simultaneously.
Focused Workspaces: The ability to create separate workspaces for different projects, clients, or roles (e.g., one for development, one for marketing) helps in compartmentalizing work and maintaining focus.
Bugs and Stability: Users frequently report technical issues, including frequent glitches, occasional crashes, and general software slowness (especially if the computer is older or when running many accounts/integrations).
Limited Functionality: Some reviewers note that the application lacks advanced features compared to similar competitor apps. They also wish for better support for niche or non-major apps/plugins.
