The platform is used by healthcare organizations across more than 80 specialties, enabling them to collect real-time patient feedback, benchmark performance, and drive operational improvements. rater8 integrates with over 100 electronic health record (EHR) and practice management (PM) systems, focusing on review platforms such as Google, Healthgrades, Vitals, Facebook, and WebMD.

Founding and Growth

rater8 was founded in 2015 by Evan Steele, who previously led SRS Health, a healthcare technology company. The idea for rater8 emerged from a personal frustration with the lack of quick and easy feedback mechanisms in service interactions, which inspired Steele to create a platform initially focused on rating individuals in healthcare settings. The company evolved to encompass the full patient experience, providing tools for both reputation management and practice improvement.
