Sign Up & Access Dashboard
Create an account at paced.email, which includes free-tier access. Once logged in, the user is presented with a clean dashboard and a “Getting started” section guiding initial setup.
Create Your First Alias
In under a minute, users can generate email aliases—anonymous or personalized—with a few clicks. These aliases forward incoming mail to your real inbox based on preset schedules.
Configure Digest Scheduling
Choose whether each alias should forward immediately or batch messages into daily, weekly, or monthly digests, selecting precise delivery times.
Set Custom Rules (Optional)
For each alias, define filtering rules to block, forward immediately, or exclude specific senders from digest batching. The number of allowable rules depends on your plan.
Add Integrations (Optional)
Connect tools like Zapier, Make, Pabbly, or webhooks to automate workflows—e.g., triggering actions when a digest arrives or an alias is used.
Customize Domains (Optional)
Upgrade to set up custom sending domains. This involves adding MX and TXT records via DNS and verifying ownership—usually within minutes, but potentially up to 24 hours for full propagation.
Go Live
After setup, begin using aliases for signups, subscriptions, or communications. Incoming emails will be batched and forwarded per your defined schedule.
Estimated Timeframe:
A basic implementation—account creation, alias setup, and digest scheduling—can be completed in under 5 minutes, typically “in under 60 seconds” for core functionality.
Enabling custom domains adds a DNS propagation interval of up to 24 hours, though it often finalizes sooner.
Paced Email offers extensive customization options tailored to both individual and enterprise-level requirements:
Digest Timing & Granularity
Businesses can set alias-specific schedules with daily, weekly, or monthly digests and precise delivery times—supporting varied workflows across teams.
Custom Rules per Alias
Administrators can create rules to block, forward immediately, or exclude certain senders from digests. Standard plans include up to 3 rules per alias; premium and enterprise plans allow unlimited rules.
Custom Domains & Branding
Upgradeable plans support adding your organization’s domains, configuring MX and TXT records, and using branded alias addresses. This reinforces brand identity and trust.
Team Collaboration & Role Management
Invite team members, assign roles, and share access across accounts. This enables coordinated inbox pacing and collaborative management of shared email flows.
API & Webhooks
The REST API and webhook support allow event-driven workflows, such as alias creation, digest events, or rule triggers—enabling programmatic integrations and automation.
No-Code Integrations
Seamless connectivity with tools like Zapier, Make, Pabbly Connect, and Integrately enables automation without needing custom development—ideal for marketing, support, and CRM integrations.
Enterprise Plan: Bespoke Functionality
The Enterprise tier supports customized contracts, invoicing/PO billing, premium support, high-volume sending, and tailored features based on a company’s specific needs.
These customizable elements enable Paced Email to adapt to various use cases, from solo professionals needing alias management to enterprises requiring branded workflows, compliance controls, and robust application integration.
There are no setup fees when starting with Paced Email—you can begin on the free plan instantly. For paid tiers (Standard at $12/month, Premium at $20/month, or customized Enterprise plans), all core features such as alias creation, digests, rules, domains, and integrations are included within the subscription. Maintenance costs are covered as part of your monthly or annual subscription, with no separate charges for software updates, hosting, or upkeep. Support is included in all plans via chat support (with direct interaction from the founder), and the Enterprise tier promises premium support as part of its package – again, no additional fees beyond the agreed subscription or contract.
Paced Email supports new users through multiple channels:
Paced Email implements a comprehensive security framework to safeguard user data:
Privacy and Data Processing: A Data Processing Agreement (aligned with GDPR) governs the handling of personal and forwarded email data. Paced Email explicitly states it does not sell or share user data, and payment information is securely managed through Stripe.
Collectively, these measures deliver strong protection for user identities, forwarded messages, and account credentials.
Paced Email publishes new features and improvements periodically—approximately every 3–6 months—as reflected in its official blog. Recent posts include updates in June 2024 and September 2023, alongside prior releases in December 2022, November 2022, and earlier. These updates span digest features, alias management, extensions, spam filtering, security enhancements, and AI integrations. The release cycle appears tied to a solo- or small-team development rhythm, with updates rolled out and documented in the blog/news section. Updates are managed centrally by the platform, with changes reflected immediately in the web app, extensions, and API—no manual downloads required.
According to Paced Email’s Privacy Policy, users retain rights to their personal information, including aliases and forwarded email content. The policy specifies what data is collected (e.g., IP, browser info, email content stored temporarily for forwarding) and how it’s used for service delivery and analytics. Users may contact support ([email protected]) to inquire about their data, request deletion, or clarify usage. While a formal “data export” feature isn’t explicitly described, the platform’s API and documentation support programmatic access to inboxes, aliases, messages, and rules—suggesting that users can extract or migrate their data via the API. The policy states that Paced Email does not sell or share personal data outside service operation, and users can discontinue service to effect their own data portability and deletion manually.
Paced Email offers a flexible billing model enabling users to upgrade or downgrade plans at will.
Paced Email operates on a subscription model with monthly or annual billing. Renewal is automatic unless canceled before the next billing cycle. Users can cancel anytime via the account dashboard, and changes take effect immediately or at the end of the current billing period (pro-rated adjustments may apply for upgrades/downgrades). There are no long-term contracts for standard plans, and no setup or cancellation fees. For Enterprise plans, terms are negotiated individually, including invoicing, PO billing, and renewal clauses. Refunds are generally not offered for partially used periods unless required by law.
Paced Email aligns with GDPR requirements through its Data Processing Agreement, ensuring lawful handling of personal data. It uses Stripe for payment processing, which is PCI-DSS compliant, and hosts infrastructure on Heroku, leveraging secure environments and encryption (SSL/TLS). While no explicit SOC 2 or ISO certifications are listed, the platform enforces strong security practices: encrypted data in transit and at rest, two-factor authentication (including U2F keys), and strict access controls. These measures support compliance for privacy and data protection standards relevant to EU and global users.
