Liwwa

Liwwa is a fintech company that provides innovative lending solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Jordan and potentially other Middle Eastern countries. The company offers a range of Sharia-compliant financing options designed to support business growth and operations without requiring traditional collateral. Liwwa's primary products include Murabaha, Point of Sale Loans, Working Capital financing, and Check Discounting, all tailored to meet the diverse needs of SMEs. Part of the key features of Liwwa's platform is its user-friendly application process. Businesses can easily apply for loans online, after which Liwwa's team conducts necessary document collection and a site visit to assess the business. Once approved, loan agreements can be signed either at Liwwa's office or at the borrower's location, followed by prompt fund disbursement. This efficient process, combined with Sharia compliance and the absence of collateral requirements, positions Liwwa as an attractive alternative to traditional banking for SMEs looking to grow and sustain their operations, even during challenging times such as the COVID-19 pandemic..

Liwwa has played a significant role in advancing the digital financial landscape in Jordan. The company has been instrumental in shifting credit bureaus from accepting only physical signatures with witnesses present to allowing digital signatures. This innovation proved crucial during the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling many businesses to access much-needed financing when traditional in-person processes were disrupted. By pioneering such changes, Liwwa has positioned itself not just as a lender, but as a catalyst for broader financial sector development in the region, further solidifying its competitive advantage and positive impact on the markets it serves.
