VulScan
بواسطة RapidFire Tools (A Kaseya Company)
Seamless GRC & MSP Integrations: This is the most cited advantage. Users who already use Kaseya’s suite (Compliance Manager, IT Glue, BMS) love how VulScan feeds data directly into these platforms. It allows them to generate compliance reports and service tickets automatically.
Cost-Effective Alternative: Reviewers frequently compare it to enterprise tools like Nessus or Qualys, noting that VulScan is significantly more affordable for MSPs managing many small-to-medium clients.
Actionable Reporting for Clients: The "Executive Summary" and "Remediation Plans" are highly rated. Users like that the reports are professional and "client-ready," making it easy to justify billable hours for fixing the identified vulnerabilities.
Ease of Deployment: Many users find the setup straightforward, particularly the "discovery agents" and the ability to run authenticated scans without complex network reconfigurations.
The ability to "set it and forget it" with cadenced scans is a major plus for small teams. Once configured, the system provides regular updates and trend charts without manual intervention.
Outdated User Interface (UI): A consistent complaint is that the dashboard feels "dull" and "old-school." Users have noted that the UX is less intuitive than modern competitors, sometimes requiring extra clicks to find specific asset data.
Limited Scope of Detection: Some power users have reported that VulScan misses "per-user" installed software (like Zoom or certain browser extensions) that deeper scanners like Qualys or ConnectSecure catch.
Setup & Configuration Hurdles: While many find it easy, a segment of users reports a "daunting" initial setup process that requires extensive documentation or multiple support calls to get "all-green" connectivity across multiple subnets.
