Admin By Request is a privileged access management (PAM) solution designed to eliminate permanent local admin rights on endpoints while giving users secure, time-limited admin access only when needed. Its core features include just-in-time elevation with granular controls, allowing actions to be approved, auto-approved, or managed by AI-powered and workflow-based systems. The platform supports various elevation options—Run as Admin for specific apps, full Admin Sessions, PIN code access, and pre-approval for designated software, all under comprehensive audit logging. Centralized via a lightweight client and a cloud-based portal, Admin By Request offers complete visibility and reporting on all privilege elevation activity, includes inventory and asset tracking, and provides mobile and remote access management. It integrates with popular directory and IT tools, supports MFA/SSO, and delivers flexible sub-setting for enterprise policies and delegation by department or team. The solution is cross-platform (Windows, macOS, Linux), scales from small businesses (with a free plan for up to 25 endpoints) to global enterprise environments, and is praised for simplicity, responsive support, and its ability to meet compliance requirements without disrupting productivity.
