Invoice Fly

Labhouse Mobile, the parent company of Invoice Fly, is a Barcelona-based tech studio specializing in high-performance productivity tools for the modern workforce. Established by veterans of the mobile gaming industry, the company applies advanced mobile engineering and user experience principles to the B2B SaaS sector. Their flagship product, Invoice Fly, is positioned as a critical infrastructure tool for the 'Home Service Economy,' serving over 125,000 active users globally. The company operates with a lean, highly skilled team that prioritizes agile development and customer-centric design. Labhouse's strategic vision is to become the leading provider of 'mobile-first' business solutions for professionals who spend more time in the field than behind a desk. Their focus remains on reducing the digital friction associated with business administration, allowing micro-entrepreneurs to compete with larger firms through professional branding and automated financial workflows. The company's European roots provide a strong foundation for data privacy and multi-market compatibility, while their primary market focus on the United States ensures the product meets the specific needs of American contractors and freelancers.

The story of Invoice Fly is deeply rooted in the success of its founders, Horacio Martos and Andrés Bou. Before establishing Labhouse Mobile in 2022, the duo co-founded Socialpoint, a legendary mobile gaming company based in Barcelona. Socialpoint became a global sensation with hits like 'Dragon City' and 'Monster Legends,' eventually leading to its acquisition by Take-Two Interactive in 2017 for approximately $250 million. After spending over a decade in the high-intensity gaming world, Horacio and Andrés pivoted their focus toward mobile productivity. They recognized that while the gaming industry had perfected mobile engagement and UI/UX, business software for blue-collar professionals remained clunky, outdated, and desktop-dependent. They launched Labhouse with the mission to bring 'gaming-level' polish and ease of use to business tools. Invoice Fly was born from this vision, specifically designed to help contractors and independent workers manage their businesses with the same fluidity as a top-tier mobile app. This transition from gaming to fintech allowed the founders to build a product that is not only functional but exceptionally intuitive, addressing the 'digitization gap' in the field service industry.

Invoice Fly is currently categorized as an unfunded or bootstrapped venture within the Labhouse Mobile portfolio. This strategic decision stems from the founders' previous massive success with Socialpoint, which provided them with the personal capital and industry credibility to build and scale a new venture without immediate reliance on external venture capital. By remaining bootstrapped, Labhouse maintains complete control over its product roadmap and business philosophy, allowing them to focus on long-term user value rather than short-term growth metrics mandated by investors. While the company has not sought formal Seed or Series A funding as of early 2026, its growth has been organic and substantial, fueled by a high-performing user acquisition strategy and a strong retention rate. The lack of traditional VC funding has not hindered the product's development; instead, it has fostered a culture of efficiency and sustainable growth. However, given the founders' track record, the company remains a high-interest entity for institutional investors should they choose to pursue an aggressive global expansion or move into adjacent fintech services like lending or insurance.

The core offering of Invoice Fly is a modular, all-in-one business management platform that centers around billing and invoicing. The primary module is the 'Invoice & Estimate Maker,' which supports unlimited document creation with a focus on speed and professional aesthetic. Complementing this is the 'Expense Tracker,' a tool that utilizes mobile OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology to allow users to scan receipts and automatically categorize them for tax purposes. Another key offering is the 'Client Portal,' a white-labeled interface where customers can view their entire billing history with a business, download past invoices, and securely pay outstanding balances. The platform also offers 'Automated Financial Reporting,' which provides users with insights into their monthly revenue, tax liabilities, and outstanding collections. For specialized industries, Invoice Fly provides industry-specific templates for sectors like HVAC, plumbing, roofing, and lawn care. These offerings are unified under a single subscription, ensuring that even solo operators have access to a sophisticated suite of business tools that interconnect seamlessly across mobile and web interfaces.

Since its official launch under the Labhouse banner, Invoice Fly has prioritized rapid expansion within the North American market, specifically targeting the booming Home Service Industry in the United States. The company has localized its marketing and product features to align with US business standards, including support for US-specific tax configurations and integrations with popular American payment methods like Apple Pay and Google Pay. Geographic expansion is supported by a robust digital distribution strategy through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, where the app has gained significant traction in multiple regions. Beyond the US, the company is leveraging its Barcelona headquarters to grow its presence across Europe, offering multi-currency support and GDPR-compliant data handling. The expansion strategy also includes horizontal moves into new service sectors, with the company recently launching tailored resources and features for professional services like consulting and creative freelancing. Future growth plans include deeper localization for Spanish-speaking markets in both Latin America and Spain, capitalizing on the founders' linguistic and cultural background to capture a larger share of the global freelance economy.

In the last 12-18 months, Invoice Fly has introduced several major feature sets designed to deepen its utility as a 'Smart Office.' A significant release was the 'Request a Signature' capability, which allows users to send estimates that clients can legally sign directly on their mobile devices, streamlining the contract-to-work timeline. The company also rolled out an advanced 'Expense Scanning' module, replacing manual data entry with high-accuracy receipt image processing. Another recent addition is the 'Client Portal' upgrade, which now features a 'payment history' view for customers, reducing administrative queries for business owners. Improvements to the 'Template Engine' have introduced more granular branding options, allowing users to select from a wider array of professional fonts and custom layout structures. Most recently, the platform enhanced its 'Status Notifications,' now providing read receipts for invoices sent via email and SMS, giving business owners peace of mind that their billing has been received. These updates reflect the company's commitment to continuous improvement based on direct user feedback from the field service community.

The culture at Labhouse Mobile, the developer of Invoice Fly, is defined by a blend of high-stakes gaming excellence and disciplined SaaS innovation. The team operates with a 'product-first' mindset, where every engineer and designer is encouraged to simplify complex workflows. Based in the vibrant tech hub of Barcelona, the company fosters a multicultural and highly collaborative work environment. Values such as 'Extreme Simplicity' and 'Customer Obsession' are central to their development cycle. The work environment is described as fast-paced and agile, mirroring the 'work hard, move fast' philosophy typical of successful tech startups. Labhouse also places a strong emphasis on work-life balance and remote-friendly policies, attracting top-tier talent from across Europe. The founders' background in the gaming industry brings a unique 'fun' element to the professional software space, manifesting in a user interface that is vibrant and engaging. The company is committed to diversity and inclusion, viewing their varied perspectives as a key driver in building a tool that serves a diverse global user base of independent professionals.

Invoice Fly has built a thriving ecosystem of users and resources centered around its 'Academy' and 'Help Center.' The 'Invoice Fly Academy' serves as an educational hub for small business owners, providing expert advice on subjects ranging from tax preparation and marketing to industry-specific tips for contractors. This community-focused initiative helps users not just use the software, but also grow their businesses. The company maintains a strong online presence through its social media channels and interactive blog, where they share success stories from their 'Power Users'—contractors and freelancers who have significantly scaled using the app. While there is no traditional public user forum, the company utilizes a tight feedback loop through its support channels and App Store reviews to directly influence the product roadmap. This sense of community is further strengthened by the app's 'Refer a Friend' programs and regular updates that address specific user-requested features. The company also provides a wealth of free resources, including an online invoice generator and margin calculators, which serve as entry points for the broader professional community to engage with the brand.
