Invoice Fly

Invoice Fly is a mobile-first billing and invoicing solution specifically engineered for small businesses, freelancers, and field service contractors. Developed by Labhouse Mobile, the platform aims to transform the administrative burden of traditional paperwork into a streamlined, digital workflow. It allows users to generate professional-grade invoices and estimates in under two minutes using a variety of customizable templates that can be branded with company logos and specific color palettes. The tool is designed to bridge the gap between office work and field work, providing a 'smart office' experience on smartphones and tablets. Beyond simple invoice generation, Invoice Fly serves as a comprehensive business management hub. It includes robust features for expense tracking, where users can scan and upload receipts to monitor their spending in real-time. The platform also features a client portal that enhances communication and transparency between businesses and their customers. By integrating directly with global payment gateways like Stripe and PayPal, Invoice Fly facilitates immediate electronic payments, including support for credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. This end-to-end automation helps service professionals—from plumbers and electricians to graphic designers—get paid faster and maintain better cash flow visibility.

Invoice Fly's primary competitive edge is its 'mobile-first, user-centric' design philosophy, which stands in stark contrast to the 'desktop-first, accountant-centric' approach of legacy giants like QuickBooks. While enterprise tools offer depth, they often present a steep learning curve and cluttered interfaces that overwhelm small business owners. Invoice Fly focuses on 'the 80/20 rule'—providing the 20% of features that handle 80% of a small business's daily needs with unparalleled speed and ease. Its template engine is specifically designed to produce documents that look professional on mobile screens, a critical factor given that most clients now open invoices on their phones. Furthermore, the integration of a 'Request a Signature' feature directly within the estimate process allows contractors to secure legally binding agreements instantly, a workflow often requiring separate, expensive e-signature tools in other ecosystems. The app's pricing model is also a significant differentiator; by offering a low-cost annual subscription compared to the high monthly fees of competitors, it remains accessible to solo practitioners and small teams. Additionally, the platform’s localized experience—supporting multiple currencies and having roots in the European tech scene (Barcelona)—gives it a more global perspective on billing compliance and user experience compared to US-only focused startups. Finally, the background of its founders, who built Socialpoint into a gaming titan, brings a level of consumer-grade UI/UX polish rarely seen in B2B productivity software, making the app not just functional, but genuinely enjoyable to use.
