Centralized "Single Pane of Glass" Management: IT directors appreciate the cloud-based dashboard that manages antivirus, EDR, and patch management in one place. It is described as "very easy for deployment of security policies" across large networks.
Low Performance Impact: Unlike some heavy EDR agents, Xcitium is noted for being "lightweight." Reviewers mention it doesn't significantly slow down end-user machines, even during active scanning.
Remote Control Capabilities: The built-in remote desktop and file-sharing tools are frequently called "awesome" for troubleshooting remote workstations without needing separate software like TeamViewer.
Complicated Initial Setup: A common "con" is that the platform is "not super intuitive" at first. Reviewers mention that the setup can be "incoherent" and that it takes time to get the hang of the various modules.
Aggressive "Stubborn" Uninstallation: A major point of frustration for some admins is that the software is "very resilient against attempt to uninstall." While good for security, it has caused system malfunctions when admins tried to remove it without following specific, often difficult, procedures.
