Additional Professional Services: For organizations needing extra help, TestInvite offers services such as data migration, bulk question importing, test creation, administration, analysis, and live proctoring. These are available for an additional fee and can be tailored to specific requirements.
User-Friendly Onboarding: Most users with basic computer skills become proficient in using TestInvite within 4–5 hours, thanks to the intuitive design and support materials.
TestInvite employs a comprehensive set of security measures to protect both assessment integrity and user data:
Data Hosting and Infrastructure Security
All data is hosted on Google Cloud in the USA, leveraging Google’s physical security and FedRAMP-compliant infrastructure for high standards of protection.
Physical access to TestInvite’s own facilities is restricted by RFID chips, and only authorized personnel have access on a strict need-to-know basis.
Data Encryption and Secure Transmission
Data is encrypted both at rest and in transit. HTTPS (SSL/TLS) is used for all data transfers to ensure secure communication between users and the platform.
JSON Web Encryption (JWE) tokens and Firebase security rules restrict data access to authorized users only.
Access Controls and Authentication
Access to assessments is secured using unique invitation codes, usernames and passwords, or passcodes, ensuring only authorized individuals can participate.
Organizational roles and permissions are enforced for internal users, allowing granular control over who can access or manage different data and functions.
Anti-Cheating and Test Integrity Safeguards
Lockdown browser mode prevents test-takers from accessing other applications, tabs, or websites during the exam.
Proctoring features include webcam and screen recording, live proctor monitoring, and AI-driven cheating detection.
Randomization of questions and answer choices ensures each test-taker receives a unique exam, reducing the risk of collusion or question leakage.
All test events, actions, and submissions are logged for post-exam review and audit.
IP address, browser, and device information are recorded for additional verification and investigation if needed.
Endpoint and Device Security
Devices used by TestInvite employees are protected with Sophos endpoint security, encrypted, and can be remotely wiped if lost or stolen.
Privacy and Compliance
TestInvite operates under strict privacy policies, is GDPR-compliant, and never sells personal data.
Data transfers outside the EU are governed by standard contractual clauses and Privacy Shield certifications.
Personal data is deleted within 21 days upon customer request or as mandated by contract.
Third-Party and Legal Protections
Data Ownership:
Customers retain full ownership of all data they upload to TestInvite that is not classified as personal data. This includes exam content, test-taker lists, assessment settings, and other customer-generated materials. Customers have sole responsibility for the legality, reliability, integrity, accuracy, and quality of their data.
For personal data (such as test-taker information), the customer acts as the data controller, while TestInvite serves as the "data processor." TestInvite processes this data strictly by the customer’s instructions and the contractual agreement, as outlined in the Data Processing Addendum and Privacy Policy.
Data Portability:
TestInvite provides robust data export features. Customers can export test results and related data in multiple formats, including CSV, HTML, and JSON, through the Export Manager tool. This allows organizations to retrieve, filter, and export their data as needed for analysis, reporting, or migration to other systems.
The data export process is user-driven, enabling customers to select specific data sets, apply filters (such as date range, group, or performance rating), and download the results in a format suitable for their requirements.
Data Retention and Deletion;
TestInvite retains customer data as long as the account owner remains a customer. Upon written request from the customer, or if required by contract, TestInvite will permanently delete personal data-typically within 21 days of the request.
TestInvite is designed with robust scalability, allowing organizations to seamlessly scale their assessment operations up or down as needs change:
Automatic Cloud-Based Scaling: TestInvite’s infrastructure is built on independent, cloud-based services that automatically scale up or down based on the volume of incoming traffic. This ensures the system remains responsive and available whether you are running small assessments or large-scale, high-concurrency events with tens of thousands of participants.
Resource Efficiency: The platform optimizes resource usage by only consuming what is necessary at any given time, helping organizations keep costs minimal even during periods of high demand. This approach avoids unnecessary expenses when traffic is low and ensures capacity when traffic spikes.
Flexible Pricing and Credits: TestInvite offers flexible pricing plans, including pay-as-you-go and subscription options. You can purchase additional testing credits as needed, with volume discounts available for larger purchases. This allows you to increase or decrease your testing capacity without long-term commitments or wasted resources.
No Service Disruption: Scaling is managed automatically in the background, so organizations do not have to manually adjust resources or worry about performance issues during peak times.
Contract Duration and Renewal
The contract continues indefinitely unless either party provides written notice of termination, in which case the contract will terminate after 30 days.
There is no mention of automatic renewal periods or fixed-term subscriptions in the available terms; the agreement remains in force until actively terminated by either party.
Cancellation by Customer or TestInvite
Either party can terminate the contract at any time by giving written notice, which results in termination 30 days after notification.
TestInvite may also terminate the contract with immediate effect (by written notice).
The customer commits a material breach and fails to remedy it within 14 days of written notice.
The customer fails to pay any amount due.
The customer undergoes insolvency, administration, liquidation, or ceases business operations.
The customer’s financial position deteriorates to the extent that TestInvite deems contract fulfillment at risk.
Consequences of Termination
All licenses granted under the agreement terminate immediately, and the customer must cease all use of the platform and services.
TestInvite may destroy or dispose of customer data unless, within 10 days after termination, the customer requests the most recent backup of their data. The customer must pay any reasonable expenses incurred in returning or disposing of the data.
Any accrued rights, remedies, obligations, or liabilities up to the date of termination remain enforceable.
Survival of Terms
Provisions that are intended to survive termination (by explicit statement or implication) will remain in effect after the contract ends.
Data Handling Upon Cancellation
TestInvite software meets several key compliance standards focused on data privacy, security, and international data transfer:
GDPR Compliance: TestInvite is fully compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ensuring the protection and lawful processing of personal data for users in the European Union. The platform only discloses personal data to third parties under limited circumstances, such as legal requirements, and processes data by customer instructions as a data processor.
FedRAMP-Aligned Cloud Infrastructure: TestInvite is hosted on Google Cloud, which is FedRAMP compliant. FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program) is a U.S. government standard for secure cloud services, and Google Cloud holds FedRAMP Moderate and High Authorizations. This ensures the underlying infrastructure meets strict security and continuous monitoring standards required for federal agencies.
EU-U.S. Privacy Shield (Historical): TestInvite’s service providers, including Google Cloud and others, have been certified under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield. Although the Privacy Shield framework has been affected by recent legal changes (Schrems II decision), TestInvite now uses standard contractual clauses for international data transfers, as required by EU law.
