SureSync is a data-exchange and governance platform under Visma, headquartered in Rijswijk, Netherlands. Designed for secure, compliant information sharing, it serves financial institutions, healthcare providers, government agencies, and logistics organizations within Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Founded in 2006, SureSync has evolved from a simple file-replication tool into a comprehensive data exchange solution. As part of Visma, a rapidly growing European cloud software firm, SureSync leverages group-wide scale and shared resources, gaining traction across multiple regulated sectors.

Visma itself was founded in 1996, has raised approximately $198 million over multiple rounds, and is currently valued at around €19–21 billion post-2023 equity rounds. It employs over 15,000 staff and generates over €2 billion in annual revenues.

While SureSync is part of private-equity‑backed Visma, it hasn’t raised separate external capital. Its standing is derived from Visma's robust funding and valuation model, backed by investors such as Hg, TPG, and General Atlantic, with a 2023 valuation of approximately €19–21 billion.

SureSync provides modular functionality designed for secure, automated data exchange. These modules include Connect, Collect, Validate, Taxonomy, Data Station, and Integrate, enabling REST-based system connections, human-system portals, taxonomy-driven validation, and secure transmission with auditability. 

Unique to the Netherlands, SureSync is fully certified across all XBRLValidatorPro modules, enabling compliance-ready financial and sustainability reporting.

A key strategic move was the acquisition of EscuLine in June 2025—a BI and data analytics platform tailored for healthcare. This expansion provided real-time performance dashboards, quality tracking, and AI-infused reporting tools to over 65 healthcare organizations, including eight of the Netherlands’ top 20 elderly care providers. 

Following the EscuLine acquisition, SureSync added healthcare-focused analytics—integrating AI-driven BI tools into its federated exchange platform. Other recent enhancements include deeper XBRL taxonomies, improved validation flows, REST connector upgrades, and portal-based self-service features aimed at non-technical users.

As part of Visma, SureSync aligns with broad corporate responsibility goals. Their CSR endeavors include sustainability initiatives like recycling office hardware, purchasing secondhand furniture, promoting employee diversity, inclusion, and happiness, and championing FAIR data standards in public-sector and healthcare exchanges. 

The firm positions itself as a public-private collaborator, supporting transparency and standardization in government and healthcare systems.

SureSync serves clients across regulated industries. Within healthcare, the EscuLine platform alone supports around 65 organizations, including major elderly care providers. In addition, municipalities, central governments, financial firms, and logistics operators rely on the system for standardized, compliant data workflows. The vendor is also active in interoperability communities like LIFES, aligning with EU FAIR data principles.
