By MagicPod Inc
MagicPod Inc. is a Japanese software company specializing in no-code AI-driven test automation for mobile and browser applications. The company’s flagship product, MagicPod, provides intuitive cloud-based automation that significantly reduces the technical barriers for automated QA.
MagicPod was founded in 2012 by Nozomi Ito, an experienced engineer and test automation advocate. The company launched its core platform in 2017, building on Ito’s work in the Japanese Selenium community and previous automation ventures. MagicPod steadily expanded its user base and features, and by 2025, it is trusted by more than 500 companies worldwide, including both IT leaders and industry innovators.
MagicPod completed its Series B funding round in April 2025, raising $3.5 million with notable investments from STRIVE, Angel Bridge, and other venture capital firms. Earlier capital increases from 2018 to 2021 provided growth momentum, and recent rounds indicate strong valuation and strategic confidence among investors.
MagicPod’s cloud service enables no-code automation for both web and mobile apps, powered by proprietary AI such as Autopilot (test creation) and Self-Healing (automatic test maintenance). Key features include:
Over 160 utility commands
Real-time element detection and visual regression
Unlimited cloud execution and parallel testing
Deep CI/CD integrations (Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions)
Advanced enterprise security (permissions, SAML, IP restrictions)
MagicPod values creativity, inclusiveness, and technical excellence. It leverages technology and AI to challenge industry norms, aiming to foster an enjoyable, collaborative environment within the QA space. Community involvement (Japan Selenium User Community) and public events (e.g., FlutterKaigi, DroidKaigi sponsorships) highlight MagicPod’s commitment to education and open standards.
MagicPod serves over 500 companies, with adoption across sectors such as IT, finance, e-commerce, healthcare, and education. The community is active, with regular webinars, support channels, and a shared focus on advancing test automation best practices. The company’s strong customer stories and feedback demonstrate a high level of satisfaction, collaborative success, and ongoing product co-development.
