LMN employs multiple security measures to protect business data, focusing on access controls, user authentication, monitoring, and compliance with industry standards.
Access Controls: LMN restricts platform access via robust user management, with a designated super administrator per company. Only this administrator can add or remove users, and changing this role requires a formal written request.
Two-Factor Authentication: Employee accounts benefit from two-factor authentication, adding another layer to prevent unauthorized access.
Role-Based Permissions: Role-specific permission structures ensure staff only access modules relevant to their responsibilities, minimizing exposure of sensitive data.
Regular System Monitoring & Updates: LMN “maintains, updates, and implements reasonable security policies,” monitors for viruses, worms, and malware, and applies updates to comply with accepted IT practices and address discovered vulnerabilities.
Data Encryption: Data is encrypted both at rest and in transit, protecting sensitive records during transfers and storage.
Penetration Testing: LMN supports proactive security practices, including penetration testing to simulate attacks and actively identify and remediate vulnerabilities missed by automated tools.
Network Monitoring: The EdgeSentry tool monitors for anomalies, failures, and intrusions across business networks, providing real-time alerting and logging to support cybersecurity readiness.
Compliance: LMN complies with general data protection regulations, such as GDPR, where applicable, ensuring personal and business data is handled lawfully and securely.
Privacy Policy: The platform’s privacy policy mandates the confidentiality of personal data and encapsulates reasonable physical, technological, and administrative safeguards.
LMN releases software updates frequently—typically every 2 to 4 weeks—bringing incremental product improvements, feature enhancements, security patches, and user-requested changes throughout the year. Update management is highly structured:
LMN publishes multiple product release notes per month, reflecting its commitment to rapid, continuous improvement based on customer feedback and industry trends.
Historical patterns from the Product Releases archive show major updates nearly every month, with minor releases and patches in between.
Updates are announced on the LMN website and in the user knowledge base, with detailed release notes outlining new features, bug fixes, and process improvements.
Most updates are applied automatically to cloud-hosted users; no customer-side manual installation is required, ensuring all subscribers benefit immediately from the newest features and security enhancements.
Advanced notice is given for large changes or sunsetting features—such as retiring the LMN Time Mobile App—so users can transition and train accordingly.
LMN’s policies specify that the company owns all intellectual property related to the platform, but subscribers retain rights to their specific business data and can request data exports for portability.
LMN and its affiliates own the intellectual property in the LMN software, architecture, anonymized usage data, documentation, and all platform content not provided by third parties.
Subscriber Data: The content and business information uploaded or entered into LMN by users (such as client lists, estimates, schedules, job notes, etc.) remains the property of the subscriber (the business customer), and LMN acts as the data processor for these assets.
Downloadable content made available by LMN (guides, templates, tools) is licensed for use but not owned by subscribers.
Subscribers have the right to request a copy of their data in a structured, machine-readable format, supporting business continuity and regulatory obligations around data portability.
Following account cancellation, LMN retains subscriber-accessible data for 30 days, during which time users may export their data. After this period, the platform deletes or renders subscriber data inaccessible unless prohibited by law.
LMN provides data exports for key business records during regular subscription usage and before termination; the process for requesting is described in support documentation and legal agreements.
LMN makes it easy for organizations to scale up or down as business needs change, providing transparent processes and self-service functionality for all subscription adjustments.
Users can upgrade their LMN subscription at any time—moving from Starter to Pro, or to higher-tier packages—directly from the account’s Subscription settings, provided the logged-in user has Security Admin permissions.
Upgrades are processed instantly, unlocking new features (e.g., advanced scheduling, analytics, integrations) as soon as payment is completed.
Implementation packages or additional add-ons (like Greenius for training) can be purchased alongside subscription upgrades, with prompt onboarding support provided.
Increased team size or usage is accommodated by adding more user licenses or modules as needed.
Users can downgrade their plan (for example, from Pro+ to Starter) or remove add-ons via the same Subscription settings.
Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. There are no partial-month/prorated refunds for already-paid subscription fees.
Account features are restricted according to the lower-tier plan after the downgrade becomes effective.
LMN's contract renewal and cancellation terms are clear, role-based, and designed to ensure both parties have transparency and flexibility.
LMN contracts operate on an automatic renewal model for successive terms—monthly or annually—unless terminated according to the agreement.
The initial subscription term is either one month (monthly plans) or one year (annual plans); after this, contracts auto-renew for matching periods unless advance notice of cancellation is provided.
LMN reserves the right to update terms and conditions by posting changes to their website at any time.
Either party may terminate the agreement for convenience, at any time, upon 30 days’ prior written notice.
If the subscriber cancels, there are no refunds for any pre-paid fees, including annual or monthly subscription payments already received.
Outstanding fees or other amounts at the time of cancellation become immediately due and payable (including any remaining payments for annual contracts).
LMN will retain subscriber data for 30 days post-termination, after which all information is deleted or rendered inaccessible (unless legally prohibited).
Upon termination, the subscriber must return or destroy all LMN confidential information (except for archived copies) and certify destruction in writing within 30 days.
Subscription upgrades/downgrades are self-managed in the LMN portal by users with Security Admin privileges.
Payment options include major credit cards; some payment methods are excluded.
Cancellation may also require payment of a 30-day usage fee or incur last-payment charges for additional services (e.g., Greenius add-ons).
LMN software primarily meets general data protection and privacy compliance standards relevant to the landscaping industry, but does not hold specialized certifications like HIPAA or SOC 2.
GDPR Compliance: LMN’s privacy policy and terms indicate compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for applicable users, covering personal data processing, user consent, data subject rights, and safeguards for data transfers and storage.
Data Protection and Privacy: LMN’s platform maintains reasonable physical, administrative, and technological safeguards for business and personal data, following accepted IT practices for security and confidentiality.
Industry Best Practices: LMN maintains, updates, and implements security policies and practices in line with generally accepted standards, especially regarding access control, monitoring, and vulnerability management.
No HIPAA Compliance: LMN is not HIPAA compliant. It is not designed for handling protected health information (PHI), and is therefore unsuitable for sectors requiring strict healthcare data compliance.
No SOC 2 Attestation: LMN does not currently offer evidence of SOC 2 (Service Organization Control 2) audit certification, which is often considered important for third-party assurance of internal controls.
Other Standards: LMN does not advertise compliance with PCI-DSS, FERPA, ISO/IEC 27001, or other advanced regulatory frameworks, focusing instead on general business operational and privacy requirements.
LMN regularly updates its policies and systems to remain compliant with evolving data protection laws and best practices, and provides transparency regarding data handling and updates.
