WarehouseOS™ is a cloud‑based, tablet‑driven warehouse management system that streamlines core operations—receiving, picking, packing, cycle counts, and inventory control—via guided iPad workflows and barcode verification. The product is positioned as a faster, easier alternative to legacy RF‑gun–based systems, with real‑time analytics (WOS Insight™) and API‑centric integrations, including ecommerce platforms such as Shopify.
WarehouseOS is built and supported by HOJ Innovations, a U.S. material‑handling and warehouse‑automation firm with 60+ years of history and a campus in Salt Lake City, Utah. HOJ pairs software (WOS) with hardware, AMRs, racking, and systems design, enabling integrated warehouse solutions.
While HOJ Innovations dates back to 1964 (founded as HOJ Engineering & Sales by Henning Hoj), WarehouseOS itself emerged as HOJ’s modern WMS offering roughly a decade ago, as HOJ shifted from pure material handling into software and automation. Public sources and trade profiles indicate the software division is ~10 years old, aligning with a WOS inception around 2014–2016, and some listings cite 2012 as the year WarehouseOS was established as a brand/product line.
Growth has been driven by mid‑market ecommerce and 3PL customers migrating from paper and RF scanners to guided tablet workflows, supported by documented case studies and testimonials (e.g., Love Olive Co; Enlinx). HOJ expanded its Salt Lake City campus in September 2025 to add R&D space for WarehouseOS Software, AMRs, and controls—evidence of continued investment and customer traction.

HOJ’s messaging emphasizes pragmatism, speed, and reliability—“customization without the cost,” usability over complexity, and integrating hardware + software to optimize fulfillment. Culture is framed around engineering rigor, hands‑on operations, and customer support (implementation lead support, responsive integration team). The 2025 expansion press note underscores collaboration, modernized workspaces, and an innovation ethos connecting AMRs, WOS software, and controls.
The Customer Support policy highlights after‑hours monitoring for critical issues, escalation pathways to integration specialists, and practical guidance for local printing/network nuances—suggesting a service culture tuned to real warehouse constraints.
WarehouseOS targets mid‑market retailers, ecommerce brands, and 3PLs—operators seeking rapid onboarding and higher throughput. Case materials cite Love Olive Co and Enlinx (3PL), with documented improvements in accuracy and fulfillment rates after adopting WOS’s scan‑verified packing and batch carts.
Community‑wise, WOS provides an open support/wiki portal with detailed how‑tos, integration guides, and release notes, plus tutorial videos and onboarding packages—forming a self‑service knowledge base for managers and operators.
