Fulfillment & 3PL Focus: Users highly value its robust feature set tailored specifically for 3PLs, including multi-client support, complex client billing, rules-based kitting, and expiration date/lot tracking.
Ease of Use (WMS): The Warehouse Management System (WMS) is a favorite, described as user-friendly and intuitive. Warehouse staff can quickly adapt to the system for day-to-day operations like receiving, storage, fulfilling, and shipping orders.
Integration Capabilities: Praised for its ability to seamlessly integrate with numerous e-commerce platforms, ERPs (like NetSuite), and accounting systems, providing a cohesive workflow from order receipt to billing.
Customization & Flexibility: The software is highly customizable, enabling businesses to tailor workflows and enforce specific client business rules, which is crucial for managing diverse 3PL clients.
Scalability & Longevity: Users note its reliability over long periods (some mention its 40+ year history) and its ability to scale to handle high order volumes and growing client demands without compromising performance.
Customer Support (Post-Acquisition): This is the most severe and recurring recent complaint. Users report a significant decline in support quality and responsiveness following the acquisition by Advantive. Response times have been cited as very slow (some claimed several business days), putting client relationships in jeopardy.
Limited API Access & Customization: Despite general customization being a positive, some users feel a lack of direct, open API access can limit extensive customization and integration for businesses with highly unique or complex operational requirements.
Data Synchronization Lag: Some users note an unavoidable time lag between when orders are committed in an external shopping cart and when inventory balances are updated in VeraCore, which requires careful management of inventory updates.
