1. Download and Installation

• Download the TSplus installer from the official source.
• Run the Setup-TSplus.exe as an administrator.
• Select your language and accept the license agreement.

• Wait for installation to finish. Files are copied to the default directory, usually under Program Files.

3. Optional Customization

• Network and Security: Configure web server ports if necessary (default is 80/443), especially if there are conflicts with existing web servers.
• Install Java if you plan to use web access features.
• Set up additional features: Such as advanced security add-ons, session prelaunch, or load balancing, depending on your requirements.

4. Client Access Setup

• Users can access published applications or desktops via:
  • RDP clients (Windows, Mac, Linux)
  • Web browsers (using the TSplus HTML5 client)

  • Generated portable client applications

5. Go Live

• Once configuration is complete, users can begin remote access.
• Ongoing management and monitoring are handled via the AdminTool.

• Web Portal Personalization:
  Administrators can fully customize the TSplus web portal interface. You can change themes, colors, background images, logos, and favicons to reflect your company’s branding. The login page, button texts, labels, and user messages are all editable.

• Remote Support Branding:
  For TSplus Remote Support, you can embed your company’s name and logo, and choose between different operational modes (such as “lite” for end-users or “expert” for IT staff). You can generate branded executables for distribution to your users.

• Advanced Settings:
  TSplus provides control over features like clipboard access, sound, session reconnection, and HTTPS enforcement. Password policies, session logs, and user access rules can be tailored to your organization’s security and operational policies.

• Application Publishing:
  You can publish specific applications or provide full desktop access based on user roles. This allows you to restrict or enable features for different departments or teams.

• Integration and Scalability:
  TSplus integrates with existing IT infrastructure, including Active Directory, and can scale from small businesses to large enterprises. It supports both on-premises and cloud deployments.

  Updates can be managed automatically through the TSplus AdminTool, or applied manually as needed. The update process is designed to preserve current settings and typically does not require a server reboot, though a reboot is recommended.

  Access to updates and bug fixes is included with an active annual Support and Updates Service subscription.

TSplus’s licensing terms make it clear that the software itself-including its code and documentation-remains the exclusive property of TSplus (Terminal Service Plus). When you purchase or subscribe to TSplus, you receive a nonexclusive license to use the software, but you do not gain ownership of the software itself. This license simply grants you the right to use TSplus under the specified conditions.

When it comes to data, TSplus functions as a remote desktop and application delivery platform. This means your organization’s data and business applications remain on your own servers or infrastructure, not on TSplus’s servers. TSplus acts as a secure gateway for remote access, and does not host or claim ownership of your data. If you decide to stop using TSplus, you can uninstall the software at any time. Your data remains on your systems, unaffected by the removal of TSplus. Terminating the license simply involves uninstalling the software and discontinuing its use.

TSplus is designed to be flexible, allowing organizations to adjust their licensing as needs change:

• Perpetual and Subscription Licensing:
  You can choose between a one-time perpetual license or a monthly/annual subscription. Both options are available for all major TSplus products, and you can even mix both license types on the same server if needed.

• Adding or Removing Users:
  When you need to add more users or upgrade to a higher edition, you can do so by paying the price difference between your current and new license, plus a small administrative fee. Upgrades require an active support and updates subscription.
  If you need to reduce user counts or features, this is easiest with subscription licenses, as you can adjust your subscription at the end of each billing period. Perpetual licenses are less flexible for scaling down, since they are a one-time purchase.

• License Management:
  TSplus uses a floating license system and allows for easy license transfers. Licenses are linked to specific servers or devices, but can be moved to new hardware if you uninstall them from the old system.

• No Upfront Investment for Subscriptions:
  Subscription models do not require a large upfront payment and include support and updates, making it easier to scale your licensing up or down as your business needs change.

License Duration and Termination

• TSplus licenses are generally valid for ten years from the date of activation, unless terminated earlier by the user or under certain conditions specified in the license agreement.
• You may terminate your license at any time by uninstalling the software and deleting all copies. There are no penalties for early termination; your right to use the software ends when it is uninstalled and no longer in use.
• Licenses are tied to the specific server or device where they are installed. If you need to move TSplus to a new server (for example, after a hardware replacement), you must first uninstall it from the old device. License rehosting is allowed but requires an active support subscription and a formal request to TSplus support.

Perpetual vs. Subscription Licenses

• Perpetual licenses do not expire and can be used indefinitely as long as you comply with the license terms.
• Subscription licenses are valid only while your subscription is active. If the subscription is not renewed, access to the software and updates will end.

Support and Updates Renewal

• Support and Updates Services can be purchased or renewed for one, two, or three years. The cost is a percentage of the license price (typically 21% for one year, 18% for two years, and 15% for three years).
• Renewal of support and updates is optional for perpetual licenses but required for continued access to updates, technical support, and license rehosting.

License Cancellation and Rehosting

• Licenses cannot be arbitrarily canceled or transferred to another host except in cases like server migration or hardware failure. In such cases, you need to submit a support ticket and provide the necessary details. The previous license is usually disabled after a short grace period (often 15 days) during rehosting.
• For subscription licenses, cancellation is handled by stopping the subscription payment, after which access to the software ends.

Multiple Use and Compliance

• Each license is valid for one server or device. If you need to use TSplus on multiple servers, you must purchase additional licenses.
• Rental of licenses to clients is permitted but each license must still be used on a single host.
