RapidSpike is a UK-based, eCommerce-focused website monitoring and security company that helps brands keep their sites fast, secure, and reliable from first visit to checkout.
RapidSpike provides a cloud platform that combines uptime monitoring, performance analytics, synthetic user journeys, real user monitoring, and client-side security (including Magecart/web‑skimming detection) for transactional websites. The company positions its mission as making the web “faster, safer and easier to use for everyone,” with a strong focus on protecting and optimising online shopping experiences for large and mid-sized retailers.
The core RapidSpike platform offers: synthetic user journey monitoring; uptime and page-load checks; real user monitoring; global performance testing; and security features such as SSL monitoring and CMS vulnerability scanning. For eCommerce security, the CartShark/Magecart module provides client‑side attack detection, JavaScript inventory and change monitoring, PCI DSS 4.0 script governance support, and real-time alerts on suspicious checkout‑page behaviour. The platform also includes dashboards, custom alerts, integrations (Slack, Teams, PagerDuty, ServiceNow, etc.) and APIs that let customers embed monitoring into existing incident and analytics workflows.
RapidSpike maintains an active “New Features” blog and product updates stream, adding new monitoring options, dashboard improvements, integrations and PCI-focused tools several times per year. Recent examples include advanced synthetic journey tooling, CartShark AI‑enhanced Magecart detection, PCI DSS 4.0 dashboards, and usability upgrades in the app design to make complex journeys and security audits easier to configure.
Public statements and investor commentary describe RapidSpike as a “fast‑growing website performance and cybersecurity business” with a vision centered on improving customer experience and security for online consumers. The leadership team has a background in testing and performance engineering, and messaging emphasizes being a partner to eCommerce brands, combining technical expertise with hands‑on support and continuous improvement.
RapidSpike serves around a few hundred customers, with early references naming brands like William Hill, Npower and US retail groups (e.g., Helen of Troy) alongside digital agencies and travel brands. Review and marketplace sites show adoption across online retail, ticketing and other consumer-facing verticals, where users value the eCommerce-specific focus, depth of synthetic journeys, responsive support and strong security capabilities. The community presence is built through case studies, webinars, Academy training, and social channels rather than a large standalone forum, reflecting a more curated, B2B-focused engagement model.
