InvoiceASAP, Inc. is an established American fintech company headquartered in Oakland, California. Since its inception in 2010, the company has positioned itself as a pioneer in the mobile invoicing space, specifically targeting the 'deskless' workforce. The company's mission is to empower mobile professionals to run their entire businesses from their pockets, reducing administrative bloat and accelerating the speed of commerce. With a user base exceeding 400,000 across 121 countries, InvoiceASAP has become a staple for service-based industries. The company differentiates itself through a commitment to accessibility, offering a robust free tier and deep technical integrations that allow it to fit seamlessly into the existing workflows of accountants and business owners alike. As the field service management market continues to digitize, InvoiceASAP remains a key player by focusing on simplicity, reliability, and low-cost entry points.
The company was founded in 2010 by Paul Hoeper, who currently serves as CEO. The founding vision was born out of a realization that while business management tools were abundant for office environments, mobile service professionals—like plumbers, electricians, and contractors—were still largely dependent on paper invoices and manual tracking. Hoeper and his team set out to create a 'lowest common denominator' solution that was intuitive enough for use on a job site while powerful enough to satisfy the requirements of a CPA. The company gained significant traction early on, notably being featured as a finalist in the TechCrunch Battlefield 2011 competition. This early exposure helped define its identity as a cloud-powered management tool that prioritized a consistent user interface across all mobile operating systems, a rarity in the early 2010s. Since then, the founding team has maintained a lean operation, focusing on sustainable growth and strategic partnerships over excessive venture capital infusion.
InvoiceASAP has primarily followed a capital-efficient growth path. In its early years, the company secured approximately $1 million in seed funding to develop its proprietary sync engine and mobile applications. Records from late 2014 show a venture round of roughly $696,000, which was used to bolster its engineering team and expand marketing efforts. In recent years, the company has transitioned into a largely self-funded and bootstrapped model, reaching annual recurring revenue milestones near $1 million by 2025 with a highly specialized team of fewer than 10 employees. This lean financial structure has allowed the company to remain agile and customer-focused, avoiding the pressure of hyper-growth that often leads to increased fees for the end user. The company's valuation has been estimated at approximately $3 million, reflecting its status as a stable, profitable niche leader in the invoicing SaaS sector.
The InvoiceASAP ecosystem is built around its core mobile and web invoicing platform, but it extends into several specialized modules. Its primary offering is the Mobile Invoicing App, available on both iOS and Android, which serves as the primary interface for field workers. Complementing this is the Web Dashboard, where administrators can manage company-wide settings, view detailed financial analytics, and handle multi-user permissions. A standout offering is the 'InvoiceASAP Sync' module, a proprietary connector that facilitates deep data exchanges with QuickBooks (both Online and Desktop) and Xero. Additionally, the company offers specialized hardware integrations, such as its partnership with Clover for POS systems and Zebra for mobile printing. This interconnectivity allows InvoiceASAP to act as both a standalone billing tool and a front-end interface for larger ERP and accounting ecosystems, catering to everyone from solo handymen to multi-truck service companies.
While deeply rooted in the North American market, InvoiceASAP has achieved a remarkable global footprint, with active users in over 121 countries. Its expansion strategy has been largely organic, driven by the universal need for mobile billing and the availability of its apps on global platforms like the Apple App Store and Google Play. The company has localized its software to support various currencies and tax configurations, making it a viable option for businesses in Europe, Australia, and the GCC region. Recent efforts have focused on deeper regional payment gateway partnerships, including integrations with platforms like Adyen and PayPal, to ensure that international users can accept payments with the same ease as US-based clients. Despite its global reach, the company maintains its executive offices in Oakland, California, using a centralized support and development model to maintain high quality-control standards.
In the last 18 months, InvoiceASAP has introduced several high-impact features aimed at improving professional workflows. One major addition is the 'Card on File' functionality, which allows businesses to securely save customer payment methods for one-click billing in the future, significantly boosting conversion rates for repeat clients. They have also overhauled their 'Document Filtering' system on the mobile app, allowing users to quickly sort thousands of invoices by status (viewed, paid, overdue). Another significant update is the expanded 'Custom Column Titles,' which allows contractors to rename fields like 'Quantity' to 'Hours' or 'Unit Price' to 'Daily Rate,' providing greater flexibility for different service models. Furthermore, the integration with Square has been deepened to support more hardware types, and the company has launched a new mobile-first training portal featuring short, actionable videos to help new users go live in minutes.
The culture at InvoiceASAP is defined by its lean, 'get-things-done' mentality. With a small, dedicated team of fewer than 10 employees, the company fosters a work environment where every member has a direct impact on the product and customer experience. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, the company embraces a mix of traditional tech innovation and a strong focus on practical, real-world utility. The leadership emphasizes transparency and long-term sustainability, which is reflected in their 'No SaaS Fees' marketing and their commitment to providing personalized support for all accounts. The team values agility, often responding to user feedback with rapid iterations of mobile features. There is a strong sense of pride in serving the 'unsung heroes' of the economy—the small business owners and field technicians who keep physical infrastructure running—leading to a product philosophy that prioritizes reliability over flashy, unnecessary features.
InvoiceASAP maintains an active and loyal user community, primarily centered around its help center and social media presence. The company utilizes its 'Tips & Tricks' blog and a comprehensive YouTube channel to provide ongoing education to its users, sharing best practices for business growth beyond just software usage. While they do not host large-scale annual conferences, they maintain a high level of engagement through digital channels, where users frequently share feedback that directly influences the product roadmap. The community is largely composed of field service professionals who advocate for the software based on its 'rugged' simplicity and the time-saving benefits of its QuickBooks sync. This word-of-mouth growth has been a cornerstone of the brand's longevity, as evidenced by its high ratings on platforms like Capterra and the Apple App Store, where thousands of users have shared their success stories using the platform.
