The implementation of iNECTA Food follows a structured, multi-phase methodology designed to reach 'Go-Live' in typically 4 to 8 months, depending on organizational complexity. It begins with the Discovery and Planning phase, where iNECTA consultants conduct a deep-dive analysis of current workflows and identify 'gaps' between legacy systems and the new ERP. This is followed by a configuration phase where the software is tailored to the specific micro-vertical (e.g., configuring catch-weight for a meat processor).

The process includes rigorous 'Change Management' and 'User Acceptance Testing' (UAT) to ensure staff are comfortable with the changes. iNECTA boasts a 100% success rate, largely due to their 'Phased Rollout' approach and dedicated project managers who stay with the client through post-go-live support.

While iNECTA Food is designed to be an 'out-of-the-box' solution for the food industry, it remains highly customizable thanks to the Microsoft AL (Application Language) environment. Users can create custom fields, tailor reports via Power BI, and design unique automated workflows using Microsoft Power Automate. iNECTA’s own developers can build custom extensions for highly specialized processing needs, such as proprietary sorting machine integrations. However, the company’s philosophy is to minimize heavy custom code, ensuring that system updates remain seamless. Most 'customization' is handled via configuration of the existing 15+ specialized sub-industry products (SIPs) that fit specific niches like winery management or seafood aquaculture.

Beyond the monthly subscription fee per user, companies should budget for initial implementation and consulting fees, which vary based on data migration needs and user training. There are no 'hidden' maintenance fees common in legacy systems, but additional costs can arise from third-party add-ons (like specialized labeling software) or high-volume EDI transaction fees if using a VAN (Value Added Network). Microsoft Business Central licensing is usually included in the iNECTA quote, but organizations should verify this based on their specific licensing agreement. Post-go-live support beyond standard hours or advanced 'Managed IT' services may also incur additional charges.

iNECTA offers a comprehensive training ecosystem led by 'iNECTA University,' an online learning management system (LMS) with interactive tutorials and progress tracking. During implementation, a 'Train the Trainer' model is often used, where key power users are given deep-dive instruction to support their internal teams. Training is delivered through a mix of on-site consulting, remote webinars, and pre-recorded video modules. The university provides specific tracks for different roles, such as warehouse managers, quality control officers, and financial controllers, ensuring that every employee learns the features most relevant to their daily tasks.

iNECTA Food inherits the world-class security posture of the Microsoft Azure cloud. This includes multi-factor authentication (MFA), end-to-end data encryption (both at rest and in transit), and sophisticated threat detection. The platform is hosted in Microsoft's global data centers, which are physically secured and monitored 24/7. Additionally, iNECTA provides application-level security, allowing administrators to set granular 'Role-Based Access Control' (RBAC), ensuring that sensitive data like recipe formulations or financial records are only accessible to authorized personnel. Regular automated backups and a robust disaster recovery protocol are included as standard.

The product follows Microsoft’s modern update cadence, with two major releases per year (Spring and Fall) and monthly minor updates for security and performance. Because iNECTA is a 'cloud-native' extension of Business Central, these updates are pushed automatically with minimal downtime. iNECTA’s internal team vets these updates against their food-specific modules to ensure compatibility. This 'Evergreen' approach ensures that customers are always running on the latest version of the software, eliminating the 'version lock' issues and expensive upgrade projects that plagued legacy on-premise ERP systems.

iNECTA maintains a clear policy that the customer owns 100% of their data. As the system is built on Microsoft’s infrastructure, data is stored in the customer’s dedicated Azure environment. Users can export their data at any time using built-in tools like 'Edit in Excel' or by using the OData/API connectors to move data into external warehouses. In the event of contract termination, iNECTA provides standard data export procedures to ensure portability. The company complies with major data privacy laws, ensuring that personal and business data is handled with the highest level of integrity.

The platform is designed to scale effortlessly from a 10-user SME to a multi-national enterprise with thousands of users. Built on Azure, the system can handle massive increases in transaction volume and data storage without performance degradation. As a business grows geographically, iNECTA supports multi-company, multi-currency, and multi-language setups, allowing a central headquarters to consolidate financials from international subsidiaries. The modular nature of the software means a company can start with core financials and inventory, later adding the 'Processing Floor' or 'Transportation Management' modules as their operational complexity increases.

iNECTA typically operates on a monthly or annual subscription contract, with renewals handled through their customer success team. Cancellation terms generally require a 30-to-90-day notice period before the end of a term. Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are aligned with Microsoft’s standard 99.9% uptime guarantee for Business Central. The contract covers software licensing, hosting, and standard support. Large-scale enterprise contracts may include custom support tiers and dedicated account management. Renewals are straightforward, with the option to adjust user counts or add modules as the business evolves.

iNECTA Food is purpose-built to help companies achieve and maintain a wide array of certifications. This includes technical compliance standards like SOC 2 Type II and GDPR for data privacy. More importantly for the food industry, the system provides the documentation and 'electronic signatures' required for FDA 21 CFR Part 11, HACCP plans, and GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) standards such as SQF and BRC. The lot traceability module is designed to meet and exceed FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) Section 204 requirements, ensuring that companies can complete a 'mock recall' in minutes rather than hours or days.
