Hygger fully respects and complies with data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which ensures that users maintain ownership and control over their data stored within the platform. All information entered into Hygger-such as projects, tasks, user details, and other organizational data-remains the property of the user or the organization.
Data Export and Portability:
Users have the ability to export their data at any time using a built-in export feature. This export is typically provided in a JSON format, allowing organizations to back up their data, migrate it to other systems, or keep records outside the platform. This functionality supports the right to data portability, a key aspect of GDPR compliance.
Data Deletion:
If an organization decides to permanently remove its data from Hygger, it can submit a data deletion request. Upon receiving such a request, Hygger will erase all related data from its servers completely and irreversibly. This process aligns with the GDPR right to erasure, sometimes called the “right to be forgotten.”
Data Storage and Security:
All user data is securely hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, which follows strict security protocols and complies with relevant data protection laws. Hygger does not share user data with third parties beyond AWS, and all data processing is governed by formal agreements ensuring privacy and security.
Access Controls and Confidentiality:
Access to data within Hygger is protected by secure login credentials. Sensitive information such as user emails and names is only visible to members of the same organization, maintaining confidentiality and preventing unauthorized access.
Transparency:
Hygger commits to notifying users of any significant changes to its privacy policies or data handling practices, ensuring transparency and ongoing compliance with legal requirements.
Contract Renewal:
If additional users are added during a billing cycle, charges for those users are prorated for the remainder of that period.
Cancellation:
Upon cancellation and data deletion request, all company data is permanently removed from Hygger’s servers and cannot be recovered.
