Houseparty

Houseparty is a social networking app designed for group video chatting, allowing up to eight users to connect simultaneously. It offers a variety of features to enhance user experience and security, including the ability to lock rooms to prevent uninvited guests, a "Stranger Danger" alert to notify users when someone they may not know joins a chat, and options to mute notifications or "ghost" to hide online status. Users can add friends from their contact lists or social media accounts like Facebook and Snapchat, and the app supports spontaneous group hangouts with notifications when friends are online. Additionally, Houseparty includes interactive elements such as games like Heads Up, Trivia, and Quick Draw, and allows users to send video messages called "Facemails." Despite its popularity, the app was discontinued in October 2021, and its security and privacy features are no longer updated.
