Epocrates provides several mechanisms for data portability to support user autonomy and regulatory requirements:

User-Initiated Cancellation:
Subscribers may cancel at any time. The method depends on where the subscription was purchased:
Via the Epocrates website: Log in, navigate to the Payment & Subscription section, and use the “Cancel Subscription” feature.
Via Apple App Store or Google Play: Cancel through your device’s subscription management in the relevant store settings.
Timing Requirement: To avoid being charged for the next renewal period, cancellations should occur at least 24–48 hours prior to the scheduled renewal date.
Effect of Cancellation: Cancellation will stop future renewals and payments. You will continue to have access to your subscription features until the end of your current paid term. No refunds are issued for the unused portion of the subscription.
No Refunds: Payments for subscription terms already started are non-refundable, which is standard for SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) products.
Account Deletion: Canceling a subscription is not the same as deleting your account. Account deletion can occur at the user’s request; Epocrates may also terminate accounts for breach of terms, non-payment, inactivity, or security concerns.
Bulk or Enterprise Licenses: For group purchases, the organization’s admin has authority to add, remove, or substitute licensees. The renewal terms typically mirror those for individual subscriptions but scaled for institutional requirements.
