Contract Tracking and Renewal Tools: Collabit includes features for contract tracking and renewals, allowing organizations to manage and monitor all agreements and renewal dates within the platform. This helps ensure timely action on upcoming renewals and prevents lapses in service.
Automatic Renewal: While Collabit’s public documentation does not specify if contracts automatically renew, it is common for SaaS platforms to include automatic renewal clauses. These typically renew the agreement for a set term (e.g., monthly or annually) unless the customer provides written notice to terminate before the renewal date.
Renewal Notifications: Organizations are advised to set reminders and review contract terms before renewal to renegotiate pricing, adjust service levels, or discontinue the agreement if needed.
Contract Review and Renegotiation: Renewal periods provide an opportunity for both parties to review and renegotiate terms, including pricing, scope of services, and any changes in business requirements.
Notice Requirements: Standard practice is for either party to provide written notice of cancellation within a specified window before the renewal date, often 30 days. The exact notice period should be confirmed in the signed agreement.
Termination for Breach or Non-Payment: Collabit reserves the right to terminate the agreement if the customer fails to make payments within ten days after receiving written notice of overdue payment.
Early Termination: If a customer wishes to terminate before the contract’s end, there may be early termination fees or penalties, depending on the agreement’s terms. These should be reviewed before signing.
Material Changes or Breach: If Collabit materially changes contract terms, and pricing, or fails to deliver agreed services, customers may have grounds for termination without penalty. Documentation of such changes is essential for dispute resolution.
Force Majeure: Contracts may include force majeure clauses, allowing termination without penalty in cases of extraordinary events (e.g., natural disasters) that make performance impossible.
Contract Management: Collabit’s contract management tools help organizations track renewal dates, store agreements, and automate reminders for renewals and cancellations, reducing administrative burden and risk of missed deadlines.
