Founded in 2022 in Brighton, UK, by Simon Ritchie—during the Covid lockdown period—Blox was inspired by the need to simplify financial planning, reporting, and forecasting for small to medium-sized organizations that were struggling with clunky spreadsheets and expensive legacy solutions. Simon’s vision was to create a platform offering advanced financial tools without the complexity or cost barrier for mid-market users.
Blox provides a cloud-based FP&A platform that features:
A flexible, user-friendly modeling and scenario planning engine
Builder mode for custom calculations and bespoke models
Automated management packs, variance, and commentary reporting
Built-in budgeting, forecasting, “what-if” scenario analysis, and customizable templates
Integration with ERP, CRM, accounting, HRIS, and CSV import/export
Blox continuously rolls out enhancements, including more advanced scenario planning, AI-driven insights, and additional integrations. User feedback guides feature development, with regular releases as part of their cloud delivery model.
Blox is driven by a mission to democratize and modernize FP&A, prioritizing ease of use, transparency, and customer empowerment. The company fosters a culture of innovation, inclusion, and social responsibility—evident in its origin story and continued commitment to helping organizations both large and small achieve their financial goals more efficiently.
