No Storage of Credit Card Data: Credit card information is never stored on AutoVitals servers, reducing the risk of financial data breaches.
Secured Servers and Firewalls: All account information is stored on secure servers protected by firewalls, providing a barrier against unauthorized access.
Role-Based Access and Authentication: Only authorized personnel are granted access to personal information for support or troubleshooting. Any company or third party involved must meet security standards consistent with AutoVitals' policies, and their access is strictly limited to providing services to users.
Access Controls and Monitoring: AutoVitals logs and monitors access to sensitive information, helps prevent illegal activity, and uses technological systems to detect anomalous activity or potential abuse. Steps are taken to address or suspend functionalities if suspicious activity is detected.
Client Data Ownership: Shops retain full ownership rights to their data. AutoVitals does not contact clients directly or use client data for unrelated business or marketing purposes.
Policy on Disclosure: Personal information is only disclosed under certain conditions—such as compliance with law enforcement, fraud prevention, or user violations of service terms—and is never sold to third parties for marketing.
AutoVitals releases software updates everymonth or more frequently, as demonstrated by their published release notes, which show updates rolled out every month in 2025 (such as in July, June, May, April, etc.). These updates include new features, enhancements, bug fixes, and usability improvements.
How updates are managed:
Release notes are published for every update, providing details on new features, changes, and resolved issues. These release notes are accessible through the AutoVitals support portal, keeping users informed about what has changed.
Updates may include both minor improvements (such as UI tweaks, additional customization options, and workflow enhancements) as well as larger feature additions—like new service reminder templates or export features.
The update process is managed centrally, with the software updated remotely so users do not have to manage manual installations or risk system downtime.
AutoVitals’ policy on data ownership and portability is as follows:
Data Ownership: You (the client or shop owner) retain full rights and ownership over your own data stored within the AutoVitals platform. AutoVitals states explicitly that while it owns the storage infrastructure, databases, and the application itself, it does not claim any rights over your business’s data. AutoVitals will never contact your clients directly, nor use your data for its own business purposes, to compete with you, or to market to your customers.
Data Use and Confidentiality: Customer-specific data (like contact information, vehicle details, and invoices) is only used to provide services to you, and is not sold, rented, or used for direct marketing by AutoVitals. Both you and AutoVitals are required to keep each other’s confidential information secure and to only use it for purposes related to your business relationship.
Portability: Upon request or at the termination of service (and settlement of outstanding payments), your data (and accounts or domains managed on your behalf) will be released or returned to you. The policy provides for data to be handed back, and for confidential information to be returned or destroyed upon request.
