Management of Updates:
Updates may be automatically deployed or require manual installation, depending on user settings.
Users are notified of available updates and provided with instructions for installation to ensure they can promptly apply them.
Data Ownership and Portability
Data Ownership:
Users retain full ownership of their data. The software does not claim any rights to user data stored within its systems.
Data Portability:
Users can export their inventory data in standard formats (e.g., CSV or Excel), allowing for easy migration to other platforms or systems if needed.
The process of data export is designed to be straightforward, ensuring users can access their data at any time.
Data Deletion
Users can request the deletion of their data from the system, in line with privacy policies and legal obligations.
Scaling Up / Down
Scaling Up:
Add Users: Organizations can easily increase the number of user licenses at any time. Additional licenses can usually be purchased directly via the software interface or through customer support.
Feature Upgrades: Users may upgrade to higher tiers of service that offer more advanced features, such as enhanced reporting or additional integration capabilities.
Cost Structure: Typically, costs for additional licenses or upgraded features are prorated based on the remaining time in the billing cycle.
Scaling Down:
License Reduction: Organizations can reduce the number of licenses or downgrade their service plan. This is often subject to the terms of the contract, including potential notice periods.
Limitations: Some plans may have minimum user limits, so scaling down may require adherence to those conditions.
The terms & conditions for contract renewal and cancellation
Automatic Renewal: Contracts often include an automatic renewal clause, meaning they renew at the end of the term unless canceled by the user.
Notification: Users may receive notifications ahead of renewal to review terms, pricing, and changes.
Duration of Terms: Contracts may be available in different durations (e.g., annually, biennially).
