Tenera

Tenera (specifically the Tenera Connected Construction Platform or CCP) is a sophisticated, cloud-native software solution designed to digitize and streamline the complex procurement and execution workflows within the construction industry. At its core, the platform serves as a 'Connected Construction' ecosystem that bridges the gap between disparate IT systems, such as ERPs, project management tools, and specialized tendering software. By leveraging a modular microservices architecture, Tenera allows construction firms to automate manual tasks, enhance data transparency, and foster real-time collaboration between developers, architects, and subcontractors. The platform's primary functionality revolves around the 'Tendering-to-Payment' lifecycle. It provides specialized modules for tender management, where users can create digital service specifications, distribute them to a pre-verified network of subcontractors, and use AI-driven tools to compare incoming bids (price mirrors). Beyond procurement, Tenera offers robust certificate management to track legal and safety compliance, alongside financial modules for billing and progress payments. By centralizing these processes into a single source of truth, Tenera helps mitigate common construction risks such as budget overruns, document loss, and communication silos.

Tenera distinguishes itself from traditional construction software through its 'Microservices First' philosophy and its commitment to a 0% vendor lock-in strategy. While legacy competitors like RIB iTWO or ORCA AVA often require extensive on-premise installations and force users into closed ecosystems, Tenera is entirely web-based and designed to integrate with any existing IT stack via robust APIs. This 'Plug & Play' approach allows construction firms to adopt specific Tenera modules—such as tender management or certificate tracking—without having to replace their entire legacy ERP system, significantly lowering the barrier to digital transformation. A second key differentiator is Tenera's use of artificial intelligence and machine learning for data parsing. In the European market, particularly in Germany, the GAEB (Gemeinsamer Ausschuss Elektronik im Bauwesen) standard is universal but often difficult to manage digitally. Tenera’s AI-driven parser can read and structure complex GAEB files instantly, automating the creation of digital service specifications that would otherwise take hours of manual data entry. This technical superiority is paired with a consumer-grade user experience; Tenera’s interface is designed to be as intuitive as a modern banking app, ensuring high adoption rates among field staff and subcontractors who may be resistant to traditional, complex software. Finally, Tenera provides a unique 'Subcontractor Portal' that requires no registration for the subcontractors themselves. They can upload documents and submit bids via secure, one-time links sent to their email. This eliminates the friction of account creation, which is a major hurdle in getting subcontractors to participate in digital workflows. By making the platform equally beneficial for both the procurer and the supplier, Tenera fosters a more collaborative and efficient construction ecosystem that legacy tools simply cannot match.
