Proctorio is an advanced online proctoring service designed to uphold the integrity of online assessments. Established in 2013, Proctorio aims to expand access to quality education by providing a secure and reliable environment for remote exams. The platform integrates seamlessly with various Learning Management Systems (LMS), allowing educational institutions to monitor exams effectively without compromising the user experience.
Proctorio uses artificial intelligence to monitor test-takers, tracking facial movements, screen activity, audio, and keystrokes to detect cheating. Instructors can customize the software to enable or disable specific monitoring features based on exam requirements, such as requiring a webcam or monitoring screen activity for some exams.

Behavioral analysis: It analyzes actions such as eye movement, sound detection via microphone, and screen activity to detect irregularities or possible cheating attempts.

Custom AI models: Proctorio has developed its own models that are integrated into the software to improve accuracy. These models are trained on diverse datasets to reduce bias based on gender, skin tone, and age.
