Fleetroot is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that specializes in last-mile delivery, fleet management, and mobility solutions. The company provides businesses with tools to optimize the movement of goods, services, and people. With a focus on real-time tracking, route optimization, and data-driven insights, Fleetroot helps businesses streamline their logistics operations. The company operates primarily in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region but has expanded its services globally. Fleetroot is headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and has a growing presence in the logistics and transportation sectors.
Fleetroot was founded in 2017 by Moidu Chandanam and Motilal Keshavdas in response to the fragmented logistics landscape in the MENA region. The founders identified a need for more efficient last-mile delivery solutions for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that were often left behind during the region’s digital transformation. Initially bootstrapped, Fleetroot gained traction with its unified platform that integrated fleet management and last-mile delivery into a single solution. Over time, the company has grown significantly, serving over 100 clients across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other countries in the MENA region.
Fleetroot has raised external funding from investors such as Flat6Labs, an accelerator program based in Egypt. As of 2021, Fleetroot had secured approximately $820,000 in total funding from Flat6Labs and angel investors. The company is still privately held, with plans to raise additional capital to expand its engineering, sales, and marketing teams. While specific valuation figures are not publicly available, estimates suggest a valuation between $9.5M to $18.2M based on recent funding rounds.
Fleetroot offers a comprehensive suite of products aimed at optimizing logistics operations:
Last-Mile Delivery Management: Real-time GPS tracking, automated route planning, driver behavior monitoring, and fuel management.
Fleet Management: Features include predictive maintenance, geofencing, asset tracking, temperature monitoring (for sensitive goods), tire pressure monitoring, and accident detection.
Mobility Solutions: Fleetroot also supports car rental companies with tools for contactless rentals, subscription management, dynamic pricing models, and connected telematics.
The platform integrates IoT technology to enhance operational efficiency by providing real-time data on vehicle health and driver performance. It also supports businesses with custom reporting tools to help monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery times and fuel usage.
There are no reported acquisitions by Fleetroot at this time. However, the company has expanded its product offerings by integrating advanced features like IoT-based sensor monitoring for fleet health and safety management. Fleetroot's expansion into Latin America shows its ambition to grow beyond the MENA region.
Fleetroot frequently updates its platform with new features to improve user experience. Recent updates include enhancements to route optimization algorithms and improvements in reporting capabilities. The platform also supports integration with third-party systems via APIs, allowing businesses to connect their existing order management or e-commerce platforms seamlessly.
Fleetroot emphasizes a culture of innovation driven by core values such as tenacity, creativity, and trust. The company fosters a collaborative environment where employees are encouraged to listen and learn from each other. Its mission is centered around simplifying logistics processes while maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. The team is relatively small but diverse, comprising professionals with extensive experience in mobility software and IoT technologies.
Fleetroot serves a wide range of clients across industries such as e-commerce, logistics, transportation, and car rentals. Some notable customers include large enterprises like Nestlé Waters, Dubai South, and DAMAC. Fleetroot’s user base spans SMEs as well as larger corporations that require scalable solutions for managing complex delivery operations.
In conclusion, Fleetroot has established itself as a key player in the last-mile delivery space within the MENA region through its innovative SaaS platform. With strong growth prospects backed by external funding and an expanding product portfolio, Fleetroot is well-positioned to continue its trajectory of success while supporting businesses globally with efficient logistics solutions.
