CrowdChange typical implementation process:
Registration and Discovery: Organizations sign up on the CrowdChange platform and receive an onboarding consultation to assess their goals and specific requirements. This initial stage ensures that the implementation is tailored to the organization’s needs.
Account Setup: The CrowdChange team assists with platform configuration, including branding, user roles, payment settings, integrations (like CRM and email tools), and compliance requirements. Branded pages and templates are created to match the organization’s identity.
Training and Onboarding: Administrators and key users are provided with live, one-on-one training sessions, recorded video tutorials, and access to knowledge base resources. Emphasis is placed on quickly empowering users to manage campaigns independently.
Campaign Creation: Organizations set up their first fundraising campaigns, events, and donation forms using the drag-and-drop tools, with test transactions to ensure everything works as intended. The CrowdChange support team offers prompt help throughout setup.
Go Live: Campaigns are published and shared with the public. Ongoing support is available for real-time troubleshooting and optimization.
CrowdChange is highly customizable across branding, layouts, data capture, workflows, roles, and integrations.
Branding and layout: Fundraiser pages use a block-based editor to add, move, hide, or delete sections (e.g., Donation Progress, Text, When & Where, Leaderboards, Join, Purchase options, eCards), enabling pixel-level control without code, with mobile-responsive variants.
Custom fields and logic: Checkout supports Custom Questions, including conditional questions targeted by item type (e.g., tickets vs donations) and “repeat for each registrant,” with responses routed to specific reports for analysis.
Blueprints and templates: Master templates let teams clone campaigns, replicate designs, and mass-scale multi-location events via CSV uploads, ensuring consistent branding while allowing local edits.
Embeddables and widget control: Fully branded donation forms can be embedded on external sites, with updates synced back to live pages to maintain a single source of truth.
Registration and pricing: Flexible purchase options support registrations, ticketing, apparel, and sponsor packages, with promo codes, minimums, and custom questions for granular control of entry flows.
Bilingual and content options: Fundraisers can be set as bilingual (e.g., English/French), include custom cover images, swap banner for video, and configure start/end dates and location display.
Roles and permissions: Customized admin access levels enable national or regional teams to manage specific locations, safeguarding central governance while delegating work locally.
Data model and reporting: Custom question answers export to distinct reports (Admin Donations, Registration), enabling tailored data capture that fits downstream CRM fields.
Integrations and APIs: Supports built-in CRM/accounting connections, an open API, and partner integrations like Double the Donation; RE NXT connectivity available via Omatic/Importacular with customizable mappings.

CrowdChange protects user and organizational data through a variety of administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to prevent unauthorized access, use, modification, or disclosure of personal information.
CrowdChange implements security measures, including:
Administrative controls: Policies and procedures to ensure staff and system compliance with privacy and security protocols.
Technical controls: Systems and technologies to prevent unauthorized access to user data, likely encompassing secure data storage, encrypted communications, password protection, and regular system monitoring.
Physical safeguards: Measures to protect data centers and hardware from physical intrusion or damage.
No data transmissions over the Internet are 100% secure; CrowdChange notifies users electronically in case of a security breach so that protective steps may be taken.
Notices may be posted on the CrowdChange platform or sent to the email address associated with the user account.
Account access is controlled by user ID and password. Users are responsible for keeping passwords confidential and logging out after sessions.
CrowdChange will never ask users to disclose passwords via unsolicited email or call.
Personal information may be disclosed to partners and affiliated organizations only as needed to deliver services, and with user consent where required.
Service providers (e.g., server hosting, communications, payments) receive only the necessary data to perform designated functions and are not permitted to use the data for other purposes.
CrowdChange follows applicable data protection laws such as GDPR and CCPA, and offers rights like data access, correction, deletion, and portability for affected users.
CrowdChange’s policy is that customers retain full ownership of their data—all rights, title, and interest in the “Customer Data” remain with the organization or user that provides it. CrowdChange does not acquire any ownership rights to this data beyond what is necessary to provide the platform and related support services.
Customers (nonprofits, organizations, or individual account holders) own all data they input or upload to the platform.
CrowdChange has no claim to the ownership of customer data, but is granted a limited, royalty-free license to host, transmit, and display data solely as required to deliver the fundraising platform and support services.
Customer organizations are responsible for ensuring they have all necessary consents and legal rights to manage and upload any personal or organizational data to CrowdChange.
Personal and organizational data can be downloaded by the organizations themselves for use outside the platform. Partner organizations are expressly allowed to download donor or participant data for their own records and uses, independent of CrowdChange.
To remove or transfer personal data from a partner’s own database after having exported it from CrowdChange, the individual or entity must contact the partner organization directly.
CrowdChange’s terms are compatible with data portability principles under privacy regulations like GDPR, meaning users have the right to request access and export of their data in a usable format.
CrowdChange does not store payment data or directly process/transmit funds; such activities are handled by integrated third-party payment processors who have their own ownership and portability policies.
CrowdChange’s contract renewal and cancellation terms are outlined in detail in both its standard and Lite platform agreements. CrowdChange distinguishes between initial contracts and renewal periods, sets requirements for notice, and defines grounds for immediate termination and related data handling obligations.
The initial contract term begins on the Effective Date as specified in the signed agreement and continues until the License End Date specified in the same agreement for standard CrowdChange services.
Unless terminated sooner, a customer may renew the agreement for consecutive one-year periods (each “Renewal Term”) after the initial term, by providing prior written notice to CrowdChange at least 15 days before the expiry date of the current term.
Any renewal is subject to mutually agreed financial terms for that renewal period, agreed upon in writing at the time of renewal.
The Lite version of CrowdChange operates from the moment a customer creates an event or fundraiser; campaign events are reviewed by CrowdChange prior to being made public, with CrowdChange reserving rights to reject any such event at its sole discretion.
Either party may terminate the standard agreement by providing the other party with 30 days’ written notice in the event of a material breach, unless the breach is cured within that period.
CrowdChange may terminate the agreement or suspend access immediately and without notice if:
Continued use of the platform could result in harm to CrowdChange, its platform, customers, or third parties, or
The customer is deemed to have breached the agreement in a willful or grossly negligent manner.
For the Lite platform, CrowdChange further reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to immediately suspend or terminate accounts, events, or fundraisers (or any part thereof), and to remove content or data at any time, with or without notice.
CrowdChange fundraising software is designed to support compliance with key privacy and fundraising regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and charitable solicitation laws relevant to nonprofit operations.

Canada’s PIPEDA and Other International Laws: CrowdChange explicitly states its platform can be used by organizations in Canada, the US, and worldwide, and requires customers to operate in accordance with applicable local privacy regulations (such as PIPEDA, LGPD, or China’s PIPL as relevant).
Charitable Solicitation Laws: Customers are responsible for ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations about fundraising, sweepstakes, raffles, or charitable campaigns while using CrowdChange.

Multi-Factor Authentication: CrowdChange provides multi-factor authentication (2FA) for user accounts to improve data access security.
Centralized Permissions: Access controls and permissions can be configured for organizational users, helping meet requirements for regulated access to sensitive data.
Each organization and customer must ensure their use of CrowdChange adheres to the compliance requirements of the jurisdictions where they operate.
