Church Base
By Church Base
Church Base is a comprehensive, all-in-one software suite designed for churches to streamline their operations and enhance their community engagement. Launched in 2015, the company initially focused on providing churches with app-building services. However, by 2018, Church Base transitioned into offering a full suite of tools with four primary modules: Connection (website and app building), Community (church management), Contributions (digital giving), and Content (media storage and distribution). This shift aimed to provide a single platform that integrated all the necessary tools for church leaders, removing the need for multiple software systems and improving efficiency.
The company experienced significant growth in 2019, with partnerships across churches in the U.S. In 2020, during the pandemic, Church Base became a vital resource for churches adapting to online tools for engagement. The company’s mission expanded further when it was acquired by International Scripture Ministries (ISM) in 2020, aligning with ISM's vision of spreading the Gospel globally. This acquisition also led to the sponsorship of Church Base software for churches worldwide, especially in underserved regions.
Church Base offers a robust set of features tailored to churches of all sizes. The platform's main modules include:
Connection: Customizable websites and mobile apps designed to enhance church communication and engagement.
Community: Tools for managing church members, volunteers, and events, improving operational efficiency and member interaction.
Contributions: Digital giving solutions that enable churches to receive donations online through various channels such as credit cards, ACH transfers, and text-to-give.
Content: A platform for storing, organizing, and distributing media like sermon videos, audio podcasts, and event recordings.
Church Base's ability to integrate these modules seamlessly into a unified system helps churches avoid the need for separate tools or platforms for different functions. This centralization is particularly valued by users for its convenience and time-saving benefits.
In 2020, Church Base was acquired by International Scripture Ministries (ISM), which provided a unique opportunity for global expansion. With ISM's backing, Church Base has been able to offer its services to churches around the world, especially in rural or underserved areas. This acquisition also helped Church Base align its mission with ISM’s goal of providing access to the Bible for all people, regardless of location. The acquisition has accelerated product development and market expansion, allowing Church Base to grow its user base beyond the U.S. to countries like India, Southeast Asia, and Latin America
Church Base continues to evolve by adding new features aimed at improving church operations. Recent updates include enhanced mobile app functionalities, improved user interface for managing church activities, and more customizable options for donation processing. These improvements reflect the company's commitment to making church management as seamless and impactful as possible for church leaders
Church Base’s culture is deeply rooted in Christian values. The company emphasizes a mission-first approach, focusing on how its technology can empower church leaders to spread the Gospel more effectively. The company prioritizes service, seeing itself as a partner to churches rather than just a software provider. Church Base’s mission is to provide churches with tools that save them time, reduce their operational burden, and help them grow their communities
Church Base serves a diverse range of churches, from small congregations to larger organizations. Its user base includes churches across the U.S. and globally, particularly in areas where digital tools for church management were previously limited. The company's focus on affordability—offering free plans to churches—has contributed to its broad adoption. The platform has seen a surge in use during the pandemic as churches shifted to digital-first strategies.
