Yardi Corom releases regular updates, focusing on continuous improvement, new feature additions, and compliance enhancements, with update frequency typically ranging from quarterly to monthly cycles depending on module and need. Updates encompass core functionalities, security patches, interface refinements, and integration improvements, keeping the system modern and responsive to changing business and regulatory needs.
Update management is handled via a centralized process in Yardi’s cloud service infrastructure, minimizing disruption and ensuring smooth rollouts across client instances. Yardi’s client services team notifies customers in advance of upcoming releases, providing detailed release notes, change summaries, and guidance on how to leverage new capabilities or maintain compliance. For critical patches or urgent security fixes, immediate deployment is prioritized, with tailored communication for affected modules.
Yardi Corom adheres to a client-centric data ownership and portability policy: clients own and control all business data entered into the platform, and Yardi acts as a data processor rather than a controller under privacy regulations such as GDPR. This means each organization determines how, when, and to whom its data is disclosed or exported, giving full autonomy over information management.
Yardi Corom clients retain all rights to their data, acting as the data controller responsible for decisions around processing, access, corrections, and deletion.
Yardi does not claim any ownership over client data; instead, it implements technical and organizational safeguards to keep client information secure, accurate, and private in accordance with local and international regulations such as GDPR, Safe Harbor/Privacy Shield, and other standards.
Yardi Corom allows users to export business data (leases, transactions, accounting entries, contact details, etc.) into industry-standard formats such as CSV and Excel, supporting easy migration, backup, or integration with other systems as required by clients.
Clients may initiate data exports at any time through in-app export workflows, and system administrators can set permissions for who may conduct exports.
For custom data needs, Yardi supports API integrations and ETL tools to automate the transfer of datasets to other platforms, further supporting portability for complex enterprises.
Client data is retained only for the duration of the client’s relationship or as required for compliance, litigation, or legal obligations; once no longer needed, data is securely deleted or anonymized.
Yardi Corom is designed for scalable deployment, enabling organizations to adjust licensing, users, and feature modules dynamically as needs change—whether for growth, downsizing, or portfolio transformation.
Organizations can increase or decrease the number of licensed users, locations, or entities managed within Corom at any time, allowing flexibility for business expansion, mergers, temporary spikes, or contraction.
License adjustments—including adding or removing modules—can typically be made mid-term, with fees prorated according to contract terms and usage levels for the remainder of the period or for the renewal term.
Account administrators use an online portal (Yardi Client Central) or interface directly with Yardi support to activate/deactivate modules and update user counts as necessary, ensuring central management.
Corom may be deployed as a single stack or as individual modules (e.g., lease management, AP automation, workspace, facility management), supporting phased rollouts and targeted feature adoption at any organizational size.
Adding or dropping modules is supported, usually with revised billing for the active modules, and integration with legacy or third-party systems remains intact through API and interface configuration.
The platform architecture is cloud-based and multi-entity, allowing immediate scaling for additional sites, departments, or business units without on-premises hardware upgrades.
Enterprise clients can centralize or decentralize deployment based on operating structures, with flexible configuration for geographic expansion or reduction.
Changes in business scope (mergers, acquisitions, divestitures) can trigger contract amendments to reflect new coverage, with data migration and reconfiguration supported by Yardi services.
Scale-up often incurs incremental licensing and support fees (prorated if mid-term), while scaling down may adjust fees for upcoming renewal periods, with contract terms specifying minimums for active modules or users.
Adjustments typically require written notice, and Yardi provides prompt assistance for scaling transitions and ensures continuity of service during reconfiguration.
Dashboard alerts and critical date tracking in Corom notify administrators of contract renewal windows, module activations, or potential scaling events tied to lease options or business changes.
Yardi Corom contract renewal and cancellation terms are designed for enterprise transparency and flexibility, although the specifics may vary based on custom agreements and business size.
Contracts typically operate on an annual or multi-year basis, with many agreements set to auto-renew for additional fixed terms (such as one or five years) unless notice of non-renewal is given.
Clients are generally required to inform Yardi in writing—often 30 to 60 days before contract expiration—if they do not intend to renew. This gives both parties time to manage transition and system handover.
Renewal fees may be subject to CPI adjustments, agreed escalators, or contractually negotiated fees.
For public sector or large enterprise deals, renewals may require board or management approval or an annual service review to confirm ongoing alignment with organizational needs.
Contracts can be cancelled for convenience or due to performance issues, provided the client gives written notice as specified in the agreement. Standard notice periods range from 30 to 60 days before cancellation becomes effective.
Immediate termination is possible in case of material breach, non-payment, fraud, or violation of Yardi's Acceptable Use Policy.
Termination for performance issues or unmet business needs may be allowed with no additional penalty beyond services rendered to the date of termination.
Upon cancellation, clients are allowed to export their data within a defined transition window, supporting data portability and compliance needs.
In most enterprise and public sector contracts, annual licensing, maintenance, and support fees are locked at the start of each renewal term, with increases tied to negotiated terms or inflation indices.
Pro-rated refunds or fee waivers may apply if services are discontinued before the end of a paid contract year due to Yardi's failure to deliver or persistent issues, subject to contractual terms.
The platform features built-in tools for tracking renewal and termination dates, with automated reminders to prevent missing critical windows for notice or renewal activation.
